Greetings from Lebanon High School!

I am writing today to remind you of two upcoming events: LebFest this coming Saturday, and The Aviation Museum Gala on October 12th. We will get to see the plane, and several of our students will be present to share their experiences with Take Flight.

I also want to share the exciting news that one of our Take Flight students - Tomas - was recently commended by the National Merit Scholarship Program.

In October of each year, students across the country participate in the PSAT/NMSQT. The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes outstanding students across the country. "These students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success, " commented a spokesperson for NMSC. "These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in the academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success."

Congratulations, Tomas, on this outstanding achievement!

Our students and mentors are hard at work out in the hangar, and I hear that time in the class flies by. This week, students learned the important skill of removing a rivet. If any parents are coming to Open House this evening, Tom and Bo will meet you in the hangar.

All the best,

Bonnie

Gala for the Kids Gala for the Kids

As you can imagine, the NH Aviation Museum has quickly become our favorite 501(c)(3) organization in New Hampshire. We hope to see many supporters at the gala on October 12th. A few of our students will be in attendance, and one or more of them will be speaking to the group. Students and parents: see the generous offer below.

Take Flight students invited to Gala on Saturday, Oct. 12 as our guests: The Aviation Museum's annual Gala is Saturday, Oct. 12 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 700 Elm St., Manchester, N.H. This year's theme is 'For The Kids' and will highlight our youth education programs, including the new Take Flight program in Lebanon. To encourage you to join us, we're inviting all plane-build students (each accompanied by one adult) to attend as our guests. They need to know who plans to attend no later than Friday, Sept. 20. Hope to see as many of you there as possible! More information is available for students and parents here.
