Green Meadow Weekly Update
November 9, 2023
The results of the Debt Exclusion Vote at the Maynard Special Election on Tuesday, November 7, Question 1, are as follows: 1,504 yes to 329 no. We are very grateful to the Town of Maynard for the support of the Green Meadow Building Project. We look forward to the next steps. Thank you for investing in our students!
It's getting cold outside and students need to be prepared with winter clothing. Please make sure your child has a warm coat, a hat, and mittens or gloves on these cold days. When the weather turns to snow, students will need boots and snow pants. We go outside in all kinds of weather! Please add your child's name to their winter gear in the event they leave something behind. If your child needs winter clothing, please email Ann Rutherford at arutherford@maynard.k12.ma.us.
Was your child absent from school on Picture Day in September? Did you receive your picture packet and you would like a redo? School Picture Retake Day is Tuesday, November 14. If your child was absent on Picture Day in September, they will have the picture taken on November 14. If you need a new order form, please let the main office know. If you received photos that you are unhappy with, please follow the instructions in the photo packet that was sent home and return the original packet to school by November 14.
What a wonderful morning we had on Thursday, November 9, thanking our local veterans for their service to our country! We had about 25 veterans attend the breakfast hosted by the Green Meadow PTO. Students in Grades K-3 participated in a gradtitude parade and our Grade 3 students performed three songs under the direction of Green Meadow's music teacher, Cindy Blanchard. A lovely time was had by all. Many thanks to our PTO volunteers for their support with the event!
The Maynard Ski Club is back! The Ski Club is available for students in Grades 3-12. For more information please go to https://www.townofmaynard-ma.gov/450/Youth-Ski-Snowboard-Program
