MPMS is looking forward to welcoming students and families back into the building! We hope you had an amazing summer and are ready to return. It is important that you have updated all of your Final Forms so we have the most up to date information. Monday August 18th:

6th Grade Orientation (students only) - 11:30 - 5:30, drop off starts at 11:15 in the parent loop at the back of the school. More detailed information below

6th Grade Open House - 5:30 - 7:00, join your student back at MPMS to tour the school, meet teachers and connect with school and community resources.

Tuesday, August 19th:

7th and 8th Grade Open House - 5:30 - 7:00, come to get a copy of your schedule and all of your locker and PowerSchool information. Walk the building, meet teachers and connect with school and community resources.

Thursday, August 21st:

SCHOOL BEGINS! Doors open at 7:25 and dismissal is at 2:44

Friday August 29th:

NO SCHOOL - Labor Day Weekend

Monday September 1st:

NO SCHOOL - Labor Day

Doors open at 7:25. Free breakfast will be served in the cafeteria this school year until 7:37. Students who would like breakfast should report directly to the cafeteria.

The Michigan School Aid Budget hasn't been finalized yet, which means it's still unclear whether school meals will remain free for all students this year. To make sure your child doesn't miss out, and to help our schools secure essential state and federal funding, we're asking ALL families to complete the Child Nutrition and Education Benefits Application.

For Elementary Students Attending MPMS

• These students WILL NOT attend on most days that alter the daily schedule, including delay days, half days, and days where MPMS students start with first hour. One issue is that there may not be a bus available to transport them back to their elementary schools. Another issue on delay days is that they will be finished with their MPMS math class long before their elementary start time.

• The only exception to this rule will be days where they will be taking their trimester exams. They will indeed attend on exam days, even with the change in schedule.

For MPMS Students Attending MPHS

• These students WILL NOT attend on delay days, half days, and all other irregular days unless otherwise instructed by their MPHS Math/French teacher.

If your current student has not rode the bus since May 1, 2025 you will also need to re-enroll the student(s) using the link above.
School starts August 21, 2025

The sign up deadline for riding the bus the first week is August 8, 2025. Anyone enrolled after this date will begin August 25, 2025.
You are encouraged to download the parent app My Ride K-12 https://myridek12.tylerapp.com/login . If you have any questions please call 989-775-2323 x 32810. The Transportation Department will call you back if we miss your call please leave a detailed message. On August 18th you will be able to locate your student(s) pick up and drop off time using this app. There are several options within the app under the settings.

Most badges will be available at the orientations and back to school events. If your child does not receive their badge before school, the driver will have their badge the during the first week of school.
