SHINE ON!

Hello all!! GBP is closed Monday, 10/13, for the holiday but we are open on Monday, 10/20, (LCPS is closed).

Huge THANK YOU to the fire fighters from Station 20! We learned about fire safety and prevention and we should not hide from the fire fighters if they come to help us. We also learned that families should have a fire escape plan and meeting place outside the home in case of emergency.

Thanks to all who participated in our FireWorks Spirit Night! Such a fun treat to see some of our GBP/LUMC friends while picking up my food order! We raised $150 for GBP! Woo Hoo!

We had Music and Chapel in the Sanctuary this week so we could check out the organ while listening to Bach's Toccata and Fugue. We discussed high pitch and low pitch as well! During our October SHINE SESH, we concentrated on personal space. After reading "Harrison Spader, Personal Space Invader", we practiced keeping "our hands, feet and arms to ourselves" from our school rules song. If someone is in our personal space, we ask them nicely to stop. If they don't, we say "SPACE INVADERS" and everyone puts their hands in their laps and their feet together.

*Each month we have a SHINE SESH during music and chapel class. We use a book and/or song/chant to illustrate the social skill we are concentrating on that particular month. Last month, we learned our school rules.

October Enrichment sign ups are posted below. October Creative Movement started October 1st but there are spots available if you're interested in joining us.

Calling all Vendors/Local artisans: GBP 's annual Vendor Fair is November 12th and 13th in Asbury Hall (meeting hall above the preschool). See flyer below for Vendor Application!

We have a couple openings in our 3s and 4s classes. If you know of you anyone looking for a preschool family, send them our way! We also have a couple openings in our Friday Enrichment class. Friday Frogs is open to current Bees and Owls (4s) and T/TH 3s. The class meets every Friday from 9am-12pm and is STEM based. Contact Ms. Heather to sign up or for more information.

Please remember to pull up as far as possible on Wirt Street during drop off and pick up. Also, please do not block the driveway to the left of the Wirt Street doors, we do not own that property. Lastly, please remember (and share with anyone else who may pick up your children): our Owls and Bees are in their classrooms until Noon. If you arrive before noon to pick up your Owls/Bees/siblings, please remain in your vehicle so you can pull up when other parents leave.

-2s and 3s pick up: 11:50am-12pm

-4s and siblings pick up: 12-12:15pm
