Football Game Reminder for K-6 Families
Bay Port High School loves welcoming younger students to attend and support Bay Port athletics! Student safety is the most important thing to us and we want to make sure that every attendee’s experience is positive. Recently, we have had a number of situations where elementary/intermediate students have been at the games without adult supervision.
Because of this, please remember:
Parents/guardians must be present with their children when entering through the gates.
Parents/guardians must supervise their children throughout the entire game.
Children should NOT be dropped off at the stadium or sent through the gates on their own.
Students in grades K-6 will not be allowed to enter the gates without supervision.
Children are not allowed to engage in running or horseplay in the grassy areas or other areas of the stadium.
This includes playing football, tag, or similar activities.

DashPass Info
- If you plan on picking your student up early due to having an appointment, etc., you must enter this info via the DashPass app. This will take place of calling the office or emailing your child's teacher. YOU MUST STILL COME TO THE OFFICE TO SIGN YOUR STUDENT OUT.
- If you have not signed up for a DashPass account and downloaded the app yet, please do so as soon as possible. You must first create your Parent Portal account in Infinite Campus prior to using the DashPass app. Even if your child is not usually a parent pick up, this app will be used to make any changes to their dismissal plan, as well as to report an early pick up.
- If you have any issues, please contact DashPass Support by calling (954) 351-8448 or by email at support@dashpass.net
School Attendance
If your child will be absent due to an appointment, it is recommended that you obtain an excuse from your provider for the date and time of the visit and return the excuse to the school office. This will ensure that the absence is noted as a medically excused absence or tardy.
- To report an absence, please call the school's attendance line at 662-7990 by 9:00 am.
- Monitor your child’s attendance and report future absences through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal
- Click here for the Planned Absence Form.

Bay Port Child Development students are learning how to provide a developmentally appropriate, hands-on learning environment. Do you have a child who is 3-5 years old? We'd love for them to be part of Pirate Preschool! This program takes place on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:10-10:20 a.m. from October 6-December 22. This program is free and the child must be potty trained. See flyer below for more details and contact information!

Timbertail Tuesdays
To promote school spirit, we’ve designated Tuesday as Timbertail Day! On this day, students are encouraged to wear their Timbertail apparel or our school colors: columbia blue, navy blue, and/or white. Throughout the year, there will be chances to purchase Timbertail apparel and students can also wear their Timbertail gear with the old school colors. Keep an eye out for upcoming sales in our Weekly Newsletter!
Forest Glen PTO
Please join us for our next PTO meeting on Tuesday, October 6th at 6:00 pm. Meetings will be held in the Forest Glen Commons. PTO meetings are a great place to get updates on what is happening at school, decisions being made at the district level, and how the PTO is supporting families, teachers, and students. Hope to see you there!

Lost & Found
Please view the photo below of our Lost & Found items. If you see anything that may belong to your child, please email their teacher. All items left behind will be donated at the end of each month. Thank you!
The Giving Tree
The Giving Tree will be starting to register families for our December Holiday Store. Please reach out to your school social worker if you think your student may benefit from assistance with The Giving Tree. For our generous community, look for information in future district communications about donating to our Holiday Store and volunteering!
This month we are collecting canned soup. Please feel free to send donations with your students to put in the collections bins/carts near the main office of school. Items can also be dropped off during school hours. The Giving Tree appreciates the community support in helping ensure food is not a barrier to a student’s education.
