We are excited to welcome students and their families to the library for shopping during the Book Fair which will take place from Friday, May 2nd through Thursday, May 8th. For details about Book Fair, please click on the letter from Ms. Grillo & Mrs. Quinney HERE.
Please note: family events for shopping will include shopping during the PTO dance on Friday, May 2nd and after school hours on Tuesday, May 6th from 2:45-5 (no need to badge in at the front-come in through the side library doors!).
The Special Education Department is hosting a Parent Connection Night on May 6, 2025 from 5:30-7:05 at Windermere Elementary (1101 Picadilly Rd., Pflugerville, TX 78660 - ENTER on the back side of the school on Picadilly, not the Grand Ave Pkwy entrance).
Parents of students who receive special education services will have the opportunity to attend 2 sessions on different topics from transitioning from ECSE/PK to Kindergarten, transitioning from elementary to middle school, transitioning from middle school to high school, transitioning from high school to adulthood, behavior strategies for home, communication, and Medicaid Waivers. Free pizza dinner for the entire family from 5:30-6:00 and free childcare from 6-7:05 for children ages 3 and up.

STAAR testing begins next week. On days when your child is taking the STAAR test, you will not be able to eat lunch with them. I have listed the testing dates below as well as changes that will effect 5th grade lunch on April 16 and April 30.
Lunch Time Changes for April 16 and April 30:
5th grade will eat lunch from 11:35-12:05 on these two days
3rd grade will eat lunch from 12:45-1:15 on these two days. However, since students are testing on these days, please plan not to eat lunch with your 3rd grader on these days.
STAAR Testing Dates:
- April 15 -- 5th grade RLA
- April 16 -- 3rd and 4th grade RLA
- April 22 -- 5th grade Science
- April 29 -- 5th grade Math
- April 30 -- 3rd and 4th grade Math
We also will not be able to have volunteers upstairs on STAAR testing days. We can still have visitors and volunteers downstairs, as long as it is not in a grade level that is testing that day. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.
If you have a child that will be 4 by September 1st and you are interested in having them attend Pre K in fall, please reach out to our Pre K teacher through email at Traci.McBain@pfisd.net for more information on the program and qualifications.
Come learn a dance with the Hendrickson High School Silver Dancer on May 3rd. Your child will learn a choreographed routine and have some fun with the Silver Dancers. Then dance that evening on stage with the Silver Dancers.
There are a limited amount of spots.
