Aug. 7, 2026 Update: Aug. 7, 2026 Update:

Reminder from Nurse Shannon:

Dear Parents/Guardians,

This is a reminder that all students must meet the Texas immunization requirements to attend school. Please ensure your child's immunization records are current and on file with the school.

Students who are not in compliance with Texas immunization requirements and do not have a valid medical or conscientious exemption on file will not be permitted to attend school until the required documentation is received. In addition, Skyward access will be suspended until your student's immunization requirements have been satisfied.

If you have questions or need to submit updated immunization records, please contact our school nurse Shannon Spendolini at spendolinis@ltisdschools.org or 512-533-6222.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this important matter and for helping us maintain a safe and healthy school environment.

Warm regards,

Shannon Spendolini, MSN, RN, NCSN | School Nurse | 512.533.6222 |spendolinis@ltisdschools.org|

Chromebooks are scheduled to be distributed 08/17 and 08/18 to LTMS 6th Grade and new students.

All returning students should bring back their devices & chargers from home on Day 1.

2026–27 Athletic Ticket Pricing Update

To align with neighboring school districts and help support our district, LTISD will implement updated athletic event ticket pricing beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.

Middle School Single-Game Admission

  • Adults: $4 (previously $3)
  • Students: $3 (previously $2)

This adjustment brings LTISD in line with surrounding districts, many of which had already increased their ticket prices in the past years.

*New* All Home Game Sports Passes

We are also introducing Campus All Home Game Sports Passes for middle school athletic events.

Middle School Pass Pricing

  • Adult All Sport Pass: $30
  • Student All Sport Pass: $15

These passes provide admission to all home middle school athletic events at the designated campus for the 2026–2027 school year.

Please note:

  • Passes are campus-specific and are valid only for the campus for which they are purchased.
  • For example, a Bee Cave Middle School (BCMS) All Sports Pass grants admission to all BCMS home athletic events only.
  • The pass cannot be used for athletic events at another LTISD campus or at any other school district.

Back-to-School Technology Update: Student Passwords, Schedules & Google Classroom

Dear Lake Travis ISD Parents/Guardians,

We hope you had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to a great year of learning with Lake Travis ISD! As we approach the first day of school, we want to provide you with helpful information to support a smooth transition to the 2026-2027 school year for you and your child. Please take a few moments to review the details below:

Student Password Reset & Schedule Visibility
Families will receive information via Skyward with instructions for accessing and resetting student passwords for the 2026-2027 school year. Schedules will be released via Skyward shortly after student passwords are made available. Please see the schedule below for details:

  • August 5: Updated student passwords released via Skyward for grades 9-12 (6:00 pm); schedules available via Skyward for grades 9-12 (6:00 pm)
  • August 7: Updated student passwords released via Skyward for grades PK-8 (4:00 pm); schedules available via Skyward for grades PK-8 (4:00 pm)

*Please note: Each student in a family will receive a unique password reset notification via Skyward.

Google Classroom Support for Families
LTISD utilizes Google Classroom as the learning management system (LMS) for all students in grades PK-12. The best way to familiarize yourself with Google Classroom is to view it regularly alongside your student. Additional resources have been created to support families with Google Classroom and are available in English and Spanish.

*Please note: Google Classroom will be accessible for students in grades 9-12 on August 5th and for grades PK-8 on August 7th.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we prepare for an exciting year ahead. We encourage you to review the information above and reach out to your campus or the LTISD Technology Department if you have any questions. Together, we’ll ensure a strong start to the 2026-2027 school year!

Sincerely,

Jordan Waller
Director of Technology & Information Services

Dear LTMS Families,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! I am beyond honored to begin my first year as an LTMS Knight. In my short time here, it has become evident that LTMS is filled to the brim with the best of everything: the best students, the best teachers, and the best community. Together, we will accomplish amazing things.

I’m thrilled to welcome both new and returning Knights to another exciting year of learning and growth. Our staff is excited to kick things off with back-to-school events designed to help students feel comfortable on campus, build friendships, and get ready for a successful year.

Below you’ll find important information and upcoming events to help your student start the year with confidence.

There are a couple changes for the upcoming year that we ask you go ahead and prep our students for:

  1. Hats & Hoods: Hats and hoods will not be allowed in the building. (Hoodies are fine, but hoods may not be pulled up, over the students' heads while inside.) Showing our faces helps us build trust, keep our school safe, and stay connected throughout the day.
  2. Tech-Free Lunches: Chromebooks will now stay put during lunch. Lunchtime is the best part of the day to unwind, enjoy food, and hang out with friends face-to-face!

While there’s a lot for students to learn, the most important thing is that they feel valued, supported, and encouraged each day at LTMS. We believe relationships are at the heart of success, and we’re committed to ensuring every child knows just how much we care about them and their journey.

We can’t wait to see everyone soon! Keep an eye out for further updates and in the meantime, we hope you're enjoying these last days of summer.

Go Knights!

Principal, Lake Travis Middle School

Knight Games (6th Grade ONLY Student Event)

Monday, August 10th from 8:30 to 11:00 AM

This is a very special event just for 6th grade students to come and have some fun with their new teachers, meet new friends, and get a sneak peek at the campus before school starts. The event is run by our LTMS staff members and is designed to provide our new 6th graders with some great information about what to expect as a middle student. During this event, we will introduce them to new friends, participate in team-building games together, and spend some time getting a feel for becoming a Lake Travis Middle School student.

Parent Action Required: Parent Action Required:

1. Returning Student Verification for the 26-27 School Year

As a reminder, Returning Student Verification for the 2026-2027 school year is currently open. This process is required to be completed for all students who will be returning for the 2026-2027 school year. If your child will not be returning to Lake Travis ISD for the 2026-2027 school year, please contact your campus registrar and submit the appropriate withdrawal form.

To complete the Returning Student Verification process, log into Skyward Family Access and click on the “Returning Student Verification 2026-2027” tile (refer to image below).

User uploaded image

Please note, you will be required to verify and update information on your student, family, and residency. Current proof of residency documentation (fully executed lease agreement, signed closing documents, most recent property tax statement, mortgage statement, or property deed in parent/guardian’s name), AND a current utility bill (water, electricity, or gas with parent/guardian’s name) are a required portion of the online form.

While returning students are automatically enrolled for the coming school year, student information must be verified and/or updated annually. Therefore, the primary parent/guardian must complete the verification process for each child before August 1, 2026.

Once you have submitted the online form, the tile will no longer be available in Skyward Family Access on the dashboard of the student. One form must be completed for each student. You can view the online forms that have been submitted by navigating to 1. Main Menu > 2. Online Forms > 3. My Online Forms History (refer to image below).

The completion of this form assists your campus with planning for the 2026-2027 school year. We appreciate your participation!

2. Transportation Information

Enrollment for Transportation Services

Bus transportation is provided for students K-12. Students who plan to ride the bus to and from school must enroll in transportation services through Skyward. The form will be available for the 2026-2027 school year July 10th, 2026. Students who rode the bus in May of 2026 will be automatically reenrolled. Route information for the 2026-2027 School year will be available on August 5th, 2026.

Requests for special transportation arrangements are made during an ARD committee meeting.

SMART tag and Bus Routes

Lake Travis ISD uses the Secured Mobility Authorized Ridership Technology (SMART) tag system for all students who ride the bus to and from school. This portal provides routing information, bus approaching notifications and the ability to change approved pick-up guardians for K-2.

Parents of returning students can log in to the SMART tag Parent Portal. Parents of new students are highly encouraged to create a SMART tag Parent Portal account after routes are released on August 5th.

Transfinder

Lake Travis ISD uses Transfinder—an independent web-based boundary and routing system—to assist parents, real estate agents, and District personnel in identifying school and bus schedule information online. Bus pickup and drop-off locations will be searchable in Transfinder a week prior to the start of the school year.

3. Emergency Care Plans

Emergency care plans must be updated every school year. Please see the following forms if your child has asthma, seizures or allergies requiring epinephrine. Any forms completed over the summer can be emailed to spendolinis@ltisdschools.org.

If your child is getting vaccines over the summer, please make sure all records are signed/stamped by the doctor. Feel free to email spendolinis@ltisdschools.org. All 8th grade medical files will transfer over to the high school campus nurse. Any updated vaccines for incoming 9th graders should be sent to the LTHS school nurse.

I'm looking forward to seeing all our Knight students and their families again!
