Fisher Family Update

Good Afternoon Fisher Families,

English Language Arts MCAS testing has concluded! We are very proud of all students in Grades 3-5 for all their hard work, focus and perseverance! We are also very grateful to all students and teachers who were extra quiet in the hallways and flexible with their classroom schedule to allow for the maximum amount of time for our students to complete the tests. It was a great TEAM effort! Math MCAS for Gr. 3-5 and Science in Gr. 5 will take place in May. Reminder, please keep your child home if they are not feeling well on the day of the tests. We will schedule a make up day when they return. For all the MCAS testing dates and more, please refer to the list below.

Meteorologist Kelly Ann Cicalese provided our students with a very interesting and engaging presentation about weather in New England. The enrichment program concluded by filming this piece that was aired this past Monday morning. Enjoy!

Placement is a school responsibility which we take very seriously. Parents frequently acknowledge how well our teachers know their children. In addition to the classroom teacher’s knowledge, there may be information that you feel would be helpful for us to know. Please note that written input is optional and you do not need to fill out the form in order to have your child’s needs considered. If you choose to send us parent input, we ask that you use the Parent Placement Information Form and complete it no later than Friday, May 2nd. We view placement as an extremely important task, and afford it significant time and reflection.

Waddling into JiJi’s birthday with big smiles, ready for puzzles, and homemade shirts made with love!

Mrs. McMillan's class celebrated Jiji's Birthday on Friday, April 11th. They solved ST Math puzzles, made penguin hats, sang the Jiji Believer Song, learned to draw Jiji and they enjoyed a special snack from home in honor of their favorite penguin. Happy Birthday to Jiji!!

Absences: If your student is going to be absent or tardy, please call the absence line and let us know in advance. You may call this line at anytime and leave a message. The telephone number is 508-660-7234 and then press 1

Dismissals: Please send a hand written note with your student in the morning or fill out this form with at least 2 hours advance notice.

Afterschool dismissal changes: If your student is changing their typical way of leaving Fisher at 3:25pm, please send a note into school with the plan that morning.

We understand that there are unavoidable last minute changes, however, please be mindful that we must call the classroom and upset time on leaning with each change.
