Leopard Pride News

It's always a fantastic day when the Medal of Honor recipients visit our schools! Today, the Gainesville Junior High hosted four MOH recipients for a wonderful program. The students received tremendous words of wisdom and learned some helpful life lessons. We are one again honored that they share part of their busy week with GISD students and staff!

The recipients in attendance today were some familiar faces and frequent visitors to Gainesville: Robert Ingram - Navy, Donald Ballard - Navy, James McCloughan - Army, Patrick Brady - Army.

Throughout the year, we have celebrated teachers and employees of the month, all of whom go above-and-beyond for their campus and our students. From September - March, campus administration celebrated one classroom teacher and one non-classroom employee at their campus. All of these individuals were then eligible to be the Campus Teacher/Employee of the Year. Earlier this month, all campus staff were asked to vote for their campus teacher and employee of the year. The staff members with the most votes from their peers were paid a surprise visit from Dr. Stewart on Wednesday to make the announcement. At the end of the year, we will announce our GISD Employee, Secondary Teacher, and Elementary Teacher of the Year. Stay tuned!

Congratulations to our newest CPCTs! CPCTs can provide basic patient care such as bathing, feeding, catheter care; accommodate patient needs, perform phlebotomy, obtain EKGs and monitor vital signs
