February is National Children’s Dental Health Month. Cavities (also known as caries or tooth decay) are the most common chronic disease of childhood in the United States. Cavities can cause pain, even worse they can lead to infections in other places of the body, like the heart! Tooth decay is often preventable with proper oral hygiene. This month, I will be visiting classrooms talking about the basics and more regarding oral health! Below are some great links to information and activities you can share with your child. I also included a resource for discounted dental care in Conway. If you need assistance in finding a dentist or resources for getting your child dental care, please call me or email me at glennsh@conwayschools.info

The recent rain and warmer weather are reminders that spring is just around the corner. The garden club has a volunteer work day coming up to prepare raised beds in the CLE garden. We will be there Saturday 2-22-25 at 9am. Come join us and bring your kiddos! It’s a great way to meet other parents or learn about gardening. Hope to see you there!
