ELPAC TESTING CONTINUES 📝 ELPAC TESTING CONTINUES 📝

Parents of English Language Learners

The ELPAC state assessment is here! Please see this informational letter 2023-24 Summative ELPAC Parent Notification Letter from Superintendent, Dr. Ibarra. Testing for grades 3-5 will be done by your child's ELD teacher with the one-on-one portion conducted by EUSD district testers. This assessment is an important part of your child earning reclassification status. Please encourage your child to eat a good breakfast, ensure they get a good night of sleep, and help get them to school on time. Attendance is always critical, but especially during testing days.

K-2 testing is done one-on-one by a district tester following the completion of grades 3-5. The tester will begin pulling K-2 students as early as mid week this week.

EUSD FRAMEWORK FOR THE FUTURE + 6 LEARNER PROFILES EUSD FRAMEWORK FOR THE FUTURE + 6 LEARNER PROFILES

In the EUSD Learner Profile, our next learner outcome focus will be on “Empowered Learner” for the month of March. An Empowered Learner is curious, self-directed, and able to overcome challenges in pursuit of interests and goals. An Empowered Learner:

  • Consistently applies learned skills and knowledge to real-world problems
  • Self advocates and persists through challenges
  • Takes risks and approaches learning with a growth mindset

At our next ROAR Assembly on 4/8 we will be honoring students who exemplify these qualities.

Qualities of Empowered Learner as Listed Above with a Picture of a Magnifying Glass
