Fall Fundraiser Kicked Off This Week!
We kicked off our Ninja Cougar Challenge fundraiser this week and we are already off to a great start! We will be welcoming Ninja Nation and their mobile obstacle course on September 25th, and the kids are going to have a blast! This is generally our largest fundraiser for the year, so we really appreciate your donations and we hope to raise $30,000! If you would like to have an opinion on what this money goes towards, please keep an eye on our social media and emails next week, for a chance to vote on our top options.
Thank you to everyone who has registered your children already - we are going for 100% registration, so if you haven’t yet, please check out the registration website HERE. Every child who registers will get a special Copper Mesa 2026 bookmark, just for registering, and when a whole class reaches 70% registration they will all get a prize!
We will be sending lots of communication about the fundraiser throughout the next few weeks, so please keep your eye on our social media accounts and emails from your teachers for updates and shout outs.
Also, please make sure you fill out the waiver from Ninja Nation HERE before the event, or else your child will NOT be able to participate - whether they have registered or not.
We hope your kids are excited to participate this year!! đź’šđź’›
Donuts With Grownups
One of our favorite community events is coming up next week - Donuts With Grownups! Please join us on the front lawn before school on Thursday, September 17th. If you are able to join us, please RSVP HERE so we know how many donuts to get, and if you have any allergy considerations.
Also, we will be welcoming Reagan’s Coffee Cart (run by our SSN program) to accompany our donuts! Coffee will be available free of charge, and they’ll offer a selection of hot teas and hot chocolate for $2 each (cash only please).
Our students are excited to share their hard work with you!
We are also collecting donations for Freedom Service Dogs. The pups love new toys and new or gently used beds and blankets. This organization was selected by our SSN students, who get
to meet the service dogs-in-training throughout the year. Your support helps veterans, physically disabled individuals, and those with autism or neurodiverse challenges. Thank you!
What is Reagan’s Coffee Cart?
It is a program run by our SSN students and staff every Thursday for staff and the wider community. Named for a former Copper Mesa student, this program helps our students build customer service and coffee-making skills. Proceeds help us restock supplies, fund student programs, and support our chosen charity, Freedom Service Dogs.
Want to support us further?
You can purchase a Coffee Card for a staff member! Cards are $20 and available on MySchoolBucks or in person every Thursday.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to serving you on September 17th!
Staff Scoop at Cold Stone
Another one of our favorite Spirit Nights is returning this month at Cold Stone! Come see your teachers and staff members scoop and mix your favorite creations, all while giving back to Copper Mesa. Mark your calendars for September 29th, from 4-7pm, and we will update you with a schedule of which staff will be scooping at what times.
In-N-Out Truck
We were lucky to be selected to host the In-N-Out Truck again this year! This is an amazing fundraiser for us, where they give us 75% of the profits, and donate the remainder to their charity for underprivileged children. We hope you'll join us on October 2nd, from 5-7pm to enjoy some dinner and hang with your friends and neighbors! You MUST pre-order a ticket, which you can do HERE. For $8 you will get a burger or cheeseburger, chips and a drink. They are served as is, unless there is an allergy. We need to give them a head count a week before the event, so ticket sales will END on 9/24. Don't miss out!!

Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students): Ongoing
Watch D.O.G.S. is a program that gives dads the opportunity to spend either a half or whole day in the building with their children. You will help in classrooms and go to lunch and recess with your child.
The purpose of the program:
- To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is essential.
- To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. All dads are encouraged to be a Watch D.O.G.S. Dad at least once a year.
Sign up to volunteer HERE . Please direct any questions about the program to Jeff Stebel, (303) 880-8224, jeffrey.stebel@gmail.com
COPPER MESA YEARBOOK
Help us create a memorable yearbook by sharing your pictures with our yearbook committee. This can be at school events, spirit rock, class parties, class field trips, school clubs, etc. Please email photos to coppermesayearbook@gmail.com and include your child’s name and teacher.
KING SOOPERS CARDS
One of our biggest and easiest fundraisers has proven to be King Soopers Cards. In just over a year our total donation received is in excess of $15,000. If you haven’t registered your rewards number (phone number) yet, please do so, it’s quick and easy and a great way to earn funds for our school. This money helps us to pay for teacher and school grants and host some of our events.
