We are starting our Coyle Student Store this week! We have created a wish list of items that we would like for our students. Students earn Cougar Cash and in turn earn House points!

Coyle House System Coyle House System

We started Houses last week!

The purpose of the Coyle Elementary House System is to promote a positive and welcoming environment in which students, staff and community members feel a strong sense of belonging. This supports the Coyle mission of meeting diverse needs of all students by creating a true community in which all students and staff belong.

Each month we learn and work on a different character trait. For the month of September, we are working on Respect.

Each student and staff member is placed into a House. They will remain in the same House every year.

Jog A Thon Jog A Thon

Friday, October 31st

Mark your calendars! We have moved our Jog-A-Thon to the fall. We are hoping by moving it to the fall we can ease some of the stress of the busy spring season and we can have a cooler day to run/walk in.

Look for more information to come home soon! We will be doing our online pledges along with cash and check pledges.

Last spring we raised $6,964.60! This money went to PE, Music, and Art supplies and towards our Sun Shade fund! Let's hope we can beat this to get our Sun Shade funded and to help with more Music and Art Supplies!

New Volunteer New Volunteer

Would you like to Volunteer? Here is your first step!

Would you like to volunteer in the classroom or on field trips? We are recommending that you do it now as the process takes 2-6 weeks to be finalized. You will only need to do this process once while you are in the San Juan District.

Go to www.sanjuan.edu/volunteer

Click on the Volunteer Verification Button

Fill out the information and submit

The District will reach out with the additional steps that you may need to do such as Fingerprinting.

Please remember that the process takes 2-6 weeks after fingerprinting. You cannot volunteer until you have been fingerprinted and cleared so the sooner the better!

If you have been fingerprinted with San Juan Unified School District, you do not have to do it again. It is valid as long as you have students in a San Juan Unified School. If we are notified of any changes to your status, we will reach out to you.

All Volunteers Must Sign in At the Office!

If students are on campus but are not in their classrooms at 7:45, they will be marked absent and will need to come to the office to get their attendance changed to a tardy.

Late Pick Up

Students are to be picked up within 15 minutes of the bell ringing. After 15 minutes, students will be brought into the office to call for their ride. Whoever is picking the student up will need to come to the office to sign the student out.

Medications at School Medications at School

Medications at School

A designated school employee may administer medication during the school hours only upon written request of both the physician and parent(s) or guardian, detailing the method, amount, and time the medication is to be taken.

Medication will be administered only to students whose parent and physician deem it necessary for potentially life-threatening medical conditions or for those who need medication administered during the school day in order to interact appropriately at school.

Authorization forms for medication are available to download below, or at each school office. A new form must be completed before the start of each school year. Medications must be brought to the school office in their original container.
