We have so much to celebrate! All students just completed the fall benchmark assessments which will inform the teachers as they design instruction to meet the individual needs of students. We were thrilled to bring back our in person assemblies and celebrate our first Lakers of the Month last Friday! These assemblies will continue to be held once a month throughout the school year, and families of award recipients will be invited to be in attendance. And we just keep celebrating this amazing October weather! I hope everyone has been able to take advantage of the weekends and spend some time outside in the sunshine.
October is National Disability Awareness Month and National Bullying Prevention Month.
Each of our classroom teachers will be incorporating age-appropriate conversations and lessons about these concepts into their instruction to support our school wide theme of
“Be Here…Be You…Belong.” We are also very excited to have the Idea Project coming to Emerald Hills! Thank you, PTA, for providing this opportunity for our students.
