Brilliance Bears News

Dear Brilliance Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

We are incredibly excited to have you with us as we begin another year of learning, growth, and excellence. Whether you are returning to The Brilliance School or joining our family for the first time, we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in your scholar's educational journey.
This year brings many exciting opportunities and new beginnings. One important change is our transition to the new Brilliance Bears logo on school uniforms. We encourage families to begin planning accordingly as we move toward a unified school brand that reflects our culture of excellence and school pride.

New families should begin receiving information in the mail, including our newly updated Family Onboarding Packet, which outlines important expectations, procedures, and resources to help ensure a successful school year.

We invite all families to attend our Back-to-School Bash and Meet the Teacher Night on August 14th. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet staff, drop off supplies, learn about classroom expectations, and prepare for an outstanding school year.

As we reflect on last year, I am proud to share that our school finished with an 86% Average Daily Attendance (ADA). This year, our goal is to reach 88% ADA, which means every day counts. Consistent attendance is one of the most important factors in student success, and we appreciate your partnership in ensuring scholars are in school and ready to learn each day.

We also made tremendous gains in reading achievement and are eagerly awaiting our state report card results. Our scholars and staff worked incredibly hard, and we are excited to continue building upon that success during the upcoming school year.

Thank you for your continued support, trust, and partnership. Please be on the lookout for weekly updates highlighting the amazing things happening at The Brilliance School.

Together, we will continue to build a culture where every scholar can thrive.

Built on PRIDE. Driven by Excellence.

With gratitude,
Principal Thornton
