Trent Cottrell, Princeton – He won the 400-meter dash at the Vikings’ home meet with a new personal best of 51.36 seconds

The Princeton Board of Education honored members of the 2024 Princeton High School Chess Team at the April 9, 2024 meeting.

Princeton Elementary, Middle and High School Students competed Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the year-end Scholastic Chess Tournament held at Lakota East High School. Medals were given for individual results at the tournament and trophies awarded for performance at all the tournaments this school year.

Of the 177 total students competing, 20 students were from Princeton. Princeton had the largest number of students competing.

Princeton High School 9th Grade student Tommy Anderson finished Fifth in the U500 Section

Trophies were awarded to:

Mason Lim - Princeton High School, 10th Grade

Samuel Yeboah - Princeton High School, 11th Grade

Coach Arnold Franklin was named GMC Chess Coach of the Year.

Micah Cotrell-SR-Wrestling

Micah improves his record to 40-3 and is headed to the OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament!!

Paris Reed-SR-Basketball

Paris has been a steady contributor throughout this season and helped lead the Vikings to a district championship win over Kings High School.

Amirah Mohanna-FR-Wrestling

Amirah finished her first season with a 19-6 record and 17 pins.

Alaya White-FR-Softball

Alaya is hitting .300 and has 9 stolen bases out of 10 attempts while playing centerfield.

Josh Davis-SO-Baseball
(Josh Davis) 6/9, HR, 2B, 6 runs, 5 RBI's, 7 stolen bases.

Manny Sanchez Gonzales-SO-Baseball

Manny was 6/14, 3B, 2B, 5 RBI's, 3 runs. He also had 4 innings pitched, 7 K's, 2 earned runs in a win on the mound against Sycamore.

Michael Frierson-JR-Volleyball

Michael led the Vikings in kills and aces as the Vikings went 1-2 last week.

Jordan Houston-SR-Track

Jordan won the 110m Hurdles and Long Jump and finished 2nd in the 300m hurdles to help the Vikings win the Spurlock Invitational.

Kelise Rabb-JR-Track

Kelise won the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles to help the Lady Vikings win the Spurlock Invitational.

Ryan Maloney-SR-Baseball

Ryan had six strikeouts and o runs in the Vikings win over Western Hills.

Rian Woods-SR-Volleyball

Rian led the Vikings in assists in a tough 5 set loss to Lakota West.
