Welcome Back, Chestatee!

Serving the Community Since 1931

Welcome Back,Chestatee!Serving the Community Since 1931

Dear Chestatee Families,

It was wonderful to see everyone at Open House. We are excited to to start the 2024-2025 school year! Below are a few important back-to-school reminders:

School Arrival

As you know the first days of school are busy and full of excitement. In order to give all students a warm welcome, ensure everyone's safety, and promote a timely start to the school day, students will follow their normal transportation routines starting on day one. We will have an abundance of support staff ready to walk your children to class. We will not allow parents to walk students to their classrooms for the safety of our school community.

Bus Transportation

Our bus drivers are ensuring the safety of our students as they deliver your children to your bus stop each afternoon. This means that there may be delays as the drivers get used to their routes and get to know your children and the safe adults to whom they can be delivered. Please be patient as they work out the kinks and focus on safety over speed.

Parent Volunteers and Lunchroom Visitors

We love having parent volunteers and lunchroom visitors at Chestatee! We will open parent volunteer and lunchroom visitor sign-ups after Labor Day on Tuesday, September 3rd. This allows our teachers to establish important classroom and cafeteria routines and procedures.

We look forward to our first day of school tomorrow, August 1st. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure a smooth start to the school year!

Car Line has Changed!

We have more doors open this year and can unload a lot more cars at one time! Click here for more details. We have added one change to our car line. Families needing assistance can pull up to Door 4 with flashers instead of the curve at the eagle. This will allow other cars to pass safely.
