There was a typo in the fair letter ALL Static Judging will be Tuesday August 15th 1:00-6:00 p.m.

Fair would not be possible with out 4-H Volunteers. Please sign up for some volunteer opportunities during the fair. We are looking for help for the following events.

Livestock Quality Assurance training helps youth provide excellent care for their food animals and ensure a high level of food safety to consumers. We designed it to enhance the educational experience of 4-H animal science projects.

Do you hope to exhibit with 4-H at the Minnesota State Fair or North East Livestock Show? All 4-H 6th grade and older livestock exhibitors must complete livestock quality assurance training.

ALL Trainings must be up to date by August 10th to be eligible to accept a State Fair Livestock Trip or North East Livestock Show Trip. To complete the training online please vist https://yqcaprogram.org/

Wednesday Night Clinics are a great way for 4-H youth to prepare for the Carlton County Fair! All horses will need up to date coggins to participate! Cloverbuds MUST be led no matter their riding ability. Youth must also wear a helmet! Wednesday Night Clinics start June 7th at 6 p.m. at the Carlton County Fair Grounds covering a wide variety of topics.

Three Day Clinic will be July 10-12 th at the Carlton County Fairgrounds please contact Jill McNamara for more information.

Join the Carlton County 4-H Federation Monday July 10th for the Federation Meeting at 6:30 at the Carlton County Extension Office. Guest Speaker Cassie Girling will be there to discuss starting an ambassador program for the county.

Carlton County Livestock PDC will meet Thursday July 13th at 6:30 at the Carlton County Extension Office. We will be discussing the Carlton County Fair, Blue Ribbon Auction, and Round Robin Showmanship.

FairEntry will be opening June 5th and will close July 10th. Fair Entry is different from animal ID. FairEntry is the computer program families use to register their exhibits for the Carlton County Fair. All enrolled families will receive a fair letter with volunteering opportunities for the Carlton County Fair, Trophy Sponsor Forms, and information about the Blue Ribbon Auction. To enter your project in FairEntry please check out this FairEntry Family Registration Quick Guide. County Fair Premium books and fair registration paperwork WILL NOT be mailed out. The 2023 Carlton County Premium Book is available online or if you would like a printed copy mailed to you, please complete the Carlton County Premium Book sign - up.

The Carlton County Fair Board is looking for youth to do animal demonstrations and chat with fair goers about 4-H and their animal science projects. Youth who sign up and participate will be eligible to earn State Fair Scholarships. Please sign up using this google form! Please complete the Carlton County Fair Livestock Demonstrations form.

Join us July 19th 6:30 p.m. at the Carlton County Extension Office to help create signage for Blue Ribbon Auction and Round Robin Showmanship. Please fill out the Sign Making Night Form ! We will also have snacks for youth and volunteers who come and help!

The Carlton Extension office will be closed on Monday July 3rd. Tuesday, July 4th, and Wednesday July 5th in observance of Independence Day. We wish everyone a safe and joyful holiday!

The Carlton County Fair Board is looking for volunteers for the Carlton County Fair. Youth and volunteers who help with volunteering will be eligible for scholarships for State Fair and Regional Events such as Northeast Livestock Show and other events! Please fill out the Carlton County 4-H Fair Volunteer Opportunity *** Volunteers should be 17 and older or adults!

The Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show schedule has been revamped! Significant changes have been made to the schedule that will impact participants. It's important that you let all state horse show participants know about these changes. The changes will alleviate conflicts that youth may have when they are in multiple events. Changes will also shorten our days and provide a better experience for participants. New Minnesota State Horse Show Schedule.
