Message from Mr. Beierman

Dear Twin Bluff Families,

I hope this message finds you well, warm, and happy! October is officially in the rearview mirror, and November is already moving right along. A lot is happening here at Twin Bluff Middle School, and we want to be sure you’re in the loop every step of the way.

It was wonderful seeing so many of you during our fall conferences. It’s always a great time to connect, check in on progress, and make adjustments before the end of the trimester on November 25th. There’s still plenty of time for students to finish strong, turn in missing work, and make positive strides in their classes.

We’re looking forward to our school-wide Veterans Day ceremony on November 14th, held here at Twin Bluff for our students and staff. Due to limited space, this event is not open to the public. However, the community is warmly invited to attend the Veterans Day celebration at the high school on Friday, November 7th, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the main gym.

Please note there will be no school for students November 26–28 in observance of the holiday and end of trimester break.

Mark your calendars — our Winter Leader’s Dance will be held on Friday, December 5th, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. This special event celebrates students who consistently demonstrate our core values: being Safe, Kind, and Responsible.

As the temperatures drop and we wait for that first snowfall, please make sure your child is dressed warmly for the bus stop and morning arrival. It might not always be “cool” to wear a winter coat, but it’s definitely better than being cold!

Stay warm, stay kind, and take care of one another.

Be safe and well,

Patrick Beierman, Principal

Helpful Info

Chromebooks-

Student computers automatically turn off at 9:30 PM each night as part of our GoGuardian system. Please remind your child to finish any assignments or projects before that time. Thank you for helping support responsible device use!

Picture Retake Day-Tuesday, November 4th, 8 AM–12 PM
Missed picture day or want a new photo? Here’s what to know:

  • No green, please! The backdrop is a green screen

  • If your child wasn’t here on September 30th or would like a retake, this is the last chance for a school picture this year. We will let students know when it is time for their grade to take them on Tuesday. We won’t know who needs a retake, so please remind your student if they’d like a new photo.

Yearbooks- Don’t Miss Out!
Our yearbook team is hard at work capturing memories of the year. Order your copy from the link below before the price goes up!

Reminders From School Nurse

Any student that will be taking prescription medications at school will need an Authorization to Administer Medication form signed by a parent and a provider. Medication is required to be in the original container with the most recent prescription label. Medical Conditions such as Asthma, Seizures, Diabetes, Etc will need an action plan from the student's provider as well. Any student that is found to have a medication that is not pre-approved by the nurse will have medication confiscated and parents will be called.

Dental clinic has been rescheduled for November 14th. Parents can still register their student at the link below-

https://patientviewer.com/WebFormsGWT/GWT/WebForms/WebForms.html?DOID=51941&RKID=17505&WSDID=162389

Vision screenings are complete. Re-screens will be scheduled sometime in November.

All 7th graders needed to have a TDAP booster and a Meningococcal immunization or a Conscientious Objection on file in the Health Office prior to the start of the school year. Any 7th grader that does not have these immunizations are considered out of compliance. Please bring paperwork to the school nurse before December 1 showing proof of these immunizations or a notarized Conscientious Objection. If you need a Conscientious Objection notarized, please contact the school nurse to arrange an appointment to have that notarized.

The Health Office always accepts donations such as period products and deodorant. We are also in need of t-shirts, pants, underwear and socks for both boys and girls in all sizes. Thank you

All student drop-off and pick-up takes place in the upper lot off of Twin Bluff Road.
Please note: The lower/back lot off of Pioneer Road is reserved for buses only.

Attendance
To report an absence, a late arrival, or if your student needs to be picked up early, please call the attendance line at 651-385-4550 or email tbmsattendance@rwps.org.

We have new signs that are now in place reminding all drivers that the bus loop is ONLY for buses each morning during drop off's (8:15 - 9:15 am) and each afternoon during pick up's (3:15 - 4:15 pm).

New signs at the bus loop entrance reminds drivers that this is a "One Way" and only bus traffic each morning and afternoon as well.

Attendance Matters! Attendance Matters!

Attendance Matters! Please take a look at this info chart that our Assistant Principal created showing the importance of school attendance. Students can have up to 10 parent/guardian excused absences prior to the school asking for a doctor's note for future absences. If a doctor's notes is not provided after 10 absences, the absence will be unexcused.
