UD Township Library and UDPD Partner for Teen Service Program

The Upper Darby Township Library Municipal Branch and the Upper Darby Police Department have partnered to host a program called Teen and Police Service (TAPS) Academy. TAPS is a program designed to help teens be successful in achieving their goals and to reduce the social distance between officers and teens. In this program, Upper Darby Police officers work with teens to help them develop the tools they need to reach success and achieve their goals. It's an opportunity for youth to gain skills and knowledge about a variety of topics including safe driving, drug and alcohol use, victimization, conflict resolution, and more. Through this very interactive program, teens and officers will gain valuable insight about each other and the issues they each face on a daily basis. Click HERE to learn more about the program and to register today.
