UPCOMING EVENTS
OCT 14 β REFLECTIONS ENTRY DEADLINE
The National PTA Reflections program is returning, and this year's theme is "What My Culture Means to Me." Students are invited to showcase their creativity by creating an original work in one of six categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. Whether your child loves to draw, write, dance, compose music, take photos, or make videos, Reflections is a wonderful opportunity to share their unique perspective and talents. For more information visit Newton Rayzor's Reflections website. Entries can be submitted HERE.
OCT 20 - COFFEE WALK
Coffee Walk is once a month; the next ones are Oct. 20 and Nov 16!
We need 2 volunteers to meet at the PTA storage room (by the 2nd set of stairs near the front door) at 8:00 am. Weβll set up the cart and start making rounds by 8:15 am. Also, please consider donating $5 - $10 for Teacher Appreciation so we can shop for coffee walk supplies.
Small Donations Make a Big Impact!
OCT 30-FUN RUN
Fun Run Fundraiser
Starting October 20 through Oct 30, ending with a FUN RUN during the school day
πββοΈπ Get Ready to Run, NRE! ππββοΈ
Itβs time for one of our favorite NRE traditions β the Fun Run! This exciting school-wide event brings all of our students together for a day of fun, school spirit, and fundraising for our NRE PTA.
Every student has the opportunity to help their class and grade level by collecting donations and raising as much money as possible. Every donation makes a difference, and weβre excited to see what our NRE students can accomplish when we work together!
Students will be working together to reach school wide goals and earn fun rewards throughout the week of Fun Run. These will include dress up days (simple things they can put together with what they have at home) and opportunities to have their teachers do silly activities.
πͺ Coin Collection Challenge: October 26β30
But thatβs not all! Get ready to fill those coin jars! During the week of October 26β30, students will participate in a special coin collection challenge. The grade level that collects the most coins will earn a special prize!ππ°
π Come Cheer Them On!
Parents and families are invited to come out and cheer on their students during the Fun Run! Each grade/class will have a dedicated run time, and those times will be announced soon. We canβt wait to fill the sidelines with NRE families, encouragement, and school spirit!
Thank you for supporting our students and the NRE PTA. Letβs make this yearβs Fun Run our biggest and most exciting one yet! πβ€οΈπββοΈ
PTA Meetings
According to our PTA bylaws, we only have to meet 3x a year-August, March and April. Our next general PTA meeting will be in February. We know parents and students are busy with activities and life, so we try to keep our meetings to a minimum and communicate as much as we can through monthly newsletters and our social media pages (please make sure you are following us). We will send more information about our next general meeting as soon as we can.
