Students are already wondering how we will celebrate Halloween as a school community! On Friday, October 31, students are welcome to start their day in their costumes. They will enjoy a class party with the teacher and parent volunteers. Please see classroom communication for party donations and an opportunity to volunteer as a party coordinator.

All families are welcome to attend our outdoor parade (weather permitting). We will have one school parade at 8:50 am.

We encourage students to be creative with their costumes, but safety remains our number one priority. Please make sure that students have a costume that fits over their clothing. Students will be asked to change out of their costumes independently at 10:15 AM when our regular school day will resume. Please note that face paint, masks and weapons are not permitted.

We are looking forward to the festivities!

PRINCIPALS FOR THE DAY PRINCIPALS FOR THE DAY

This week, third grader Lincoln Graziano and second grader Parker Cholewinski had the special opportunity to serve as Assistant Principals for the Day! They earned this experience by winning the prize at Western Night’s Silent Auction.

Lincoln and Parker were tremendous helpers throughout the day. Their duties included visiting classrooms, making morning announcements, and helping raise and lower the flag. As they toured the building, they noticed so many wonderful things—students working hard, participating actively, and showing great respect for one another.

It was a joy to see the school through their eyes and celebrate all the amazing learning happening at Gold Rush!
