District News and Information
A Message from Superintendent Joe Koch
It has been wonderful welcoming our students back into our classrooms and hallways over these past few days. The energy, smiles, and excitement across all our schools have made for a fantastic start to the 2026-27 school year. As we settle into our daily routines, I want to emphasize how much we value the relationship between our schools and your homes. We are truly looking forward to partnering with you to provide your children with the best possible educational experience in a safe, encouraging environment. Thank you for your trust, enthusiasm, and support as we kick off another great year of learning together!
District Office and Clarendon Avenue Elementary Roadwork Update
Preliminary road construction on East Veterans Way near the district office and Clarendon Avenue Elementary has been completed. All traffic visiting the district office and Clarendon Avenue Elementary should enter in the original entrance near the Park View Middle School construction site. Traffic can also enter through the Clarendon Avenue entrance.
All traffic exiting onto East Veterans Way must turn right. Visitors are asked to respect the private driveways across the street from Clarendon Avenue Elementary and to not use them as a turnaround. Traffic wishing to proceed west should turn right (or east) onto East Veterans Way and then turn right onto Clarendon Avenue and proceed through public streets back to Highway 83.
Additional updates will be provided this fall as further construction is completed.
Parent Notification for Minor Health Room Visits
New this year, parents will receive an automatic notification via Infinite Campus Messenger when their child is in the health room at some point during the school day. Parents will not be notified if this is a scheduled medication or treatment.
However, parents will still be called, as normal, if your child receives a head bump, major injury, is too sick to remain in school, or has an urgent need. For reasons your child may be too sick to remain in school, please check out this Too Sick for School document from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
Please contact your child’s school health room with any questions.
Become an MASD Volunteer!
If you're interested in volunteering in the district, please make sure you have an approved application on file before signing up for events. All volunteers must have an approved application on file prior to checking in at the office. In addition, Volunteers must check in at the kiosk by selecting the VOLUNTEER guest type (not visitor), so the proper screening and admittance is processed.
For more information, please visit our MASD volunteer website or start your application by clicking this link.

Prepay Student Fees on Infinite Campus
To help make registration as quick and efficient as possible for everyone, Mukwonago Area School District encourages families to pay student fees online via the Infinite Campus parent portal before arriving at registration. We have recently implemented a new credit card payment processing system, which may increase processing times for payments made on-site. Completing your payment in advance will help reduce wait times and keep registration lines moving smoothly.
Also, a quick reminder to check your student's account for any outstanding fees from previous school years in addition to 2026–27 fees. Taking care of all outstanding balances before registration will help make your registration experience even faster.
Now through August 31 at 3:30 p.m., all credit card fees for payments made in our online portal will be waived!
Thank you for your cooperation and support!
5K-Grade 2 English Language Arts Curriculum Viewing Night
MASD is offering parents and community members the opportunity to view curricular materials that are under consideration for adoption beginning in the 2027-28 school year for 5K-Grade 2 English Language Arts and 5K-Grade 5 at Eagleville.
During the 2026-27 school year, we will be piloting and reviewing new materials in some of our classrooms at the Kindergarten-2nd grade level, as well as grades 3-5 at Eagleville. The district has chosen two resources to pilot: Amplify CKLA and the revised version of Superkids (our current resource). Eagleville is also piloting Benchmark Advance in the upper grades.
The viewing session will be Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the district office (385 E. Veterans Way). There will be a short presentation starting at 6:00 p.m. with viewing of materials following after. Registration is not required.
We're building a play group where every child can learn, connect, play, and grow friendships in a safe, supportive, and positive environment. Click here to learn more or sign up today in our Google Form!

Speak Up, Speak Out
MASD is proud to partner with the Wisconsin Department of Justice to use the Speak Up, Speak Out (SUSO) confidential reporting system. SUSO allows students and parents to report weapons, threats of violence, bullying, sexual harassment, threat of suicide, drugs, and any other activity that could potentially endanger students, staff, and property. By using SUSO, students and parents can help keep schools safe, and it’s completely confidential.
Students, parents, school staff, or any community members can submit a school safety concern or threat via a website, mobile phone application, or toll-free number. Resource center staff work around-the-clock to respond to tips and to deploy a response locally by communicating directly with school administrators, law enforcement, and counselors. Nationwide, more than half of public middle and high schools now operate a tipline.
Visit the Speak Up, Speak Out website to learn more or to make a tip.

Mukwonago Veterans Memorial Project
The Mukwonago Veterans Memorial Project is working to create a lasting place of reflection, education, and gratitude in our community. The memorial will be built near Park View Middle School at Veterans Way and Rochester, creating a meaningful space where veterans, service members, families, students, and community members can gather to honor those who have served our country.
This project is about more than building a memorial. It is about creating a permanent place for future generations to learn, remember, and reflect on the sacrifices made by the men and women who served.
The estimated project cost is $500,000, and every donation helps bring this vision to life. All proceeds will go toward the construction of the Mukwonago Veterans Memorial Project, supported by the Wisconsin American Legion Foundation, Inc.

Creating the Conditions for Collaborative IEP Meetings (November 11) - This session focuses on how to create the right conditions for effective, productive, and genuinely collaborative IEP meetings that foster trust, transparency, and partnership. Participants will learn how to transform IEP meetings from stressful encounters into opportunities for teamwork, where all voices -- especially the voices of families -- are valued and heard.
