Dear Spillane Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for such a successful Spartan Express Day. We are so grateful for the opportunity to meet so many of our 6th grade students and parents. It was fun to see so many excited faces and begin getting to know the newest members of our Spartan family. We also had the chance to meet many of our new students, and we are so excited to have each of you joining us.

We know we had a little less space than normal due to our ongoing construction, and we truly appreciate how efficiently you moved through the building. You came in, found what you needed, and got out so smoothly. Thank you for being so understanding and helping make the evening a success. It was a great night.

And now…we can hardly believe it—school starts THIS Wednesday. We absolutely cannot wait to welcome our Spartans back. We are ready for a wonderful 2026–2027 school year filled with learning, friendships, and connecting with one another.

Thank you for your continued support and patience as we begin this school year. We are so grateful for our Spillane families and are looking forward to an amazing year together.

Can't wait to see our Spartans on Wednesday.

Applications need to be filled out each school year, and we encourage you to fill out this year’s application now. The application can be filled out electronically at schoolcafe.com (users will need to sign into an existing School Cafe account or create a new one).

Our school supply pre-order sale has now closed. Thank you to all of our families who took advantage of this convenient option!

If you pre-ordered school supplies, your student's supply pack will be available for pickup at Spartan Express Day. If you are unable to attend Spartan Express Day, don't worry—we will make sure your student receives their supplies on the first day of school.

If you did not pre-order a school supply pack, you can still purchase the required supplies on your own. Please see the grade-level school supply lists using the link below to ensure your Spartan is ready for a successful start to the school year.

Under Texas state law (House Bill 1481), Cypress-Fairbanks ISD (CFISD) requires all personal communication devices to be turned off and stored away in a personal bag or backpack at all times during the school day.

Per CFISD’s Student Code of Conduct, students are not permitted to use any personal communication devices on school property during the school day. The school day is from when a student enters the building until dismissal. This policy remains in effect throughout the entire school day, including during designated breaks, passing periods, and meals.

Simply setting a device to silent or vibrate mode, or using it for texting, does not meet the requirement of being “turned off” and is strictly prohibited. Devices found in violation of the state law will be confiscated. All confiscated devices will have to be picked up by a parent or guardian and will not be released to the student. There are no warnings. Failure to relinquish the personal communication device to school personnel when asked to do so will result in additional disciplinary action.

Please review the law and FAQ below with your student(s) prior to the start of the school year.

We would genuinely appreciate it if all parents and guardians of our car riders would take a few minutes to watch our car rider tips and tricks. Please remind any student walking across the street to use the intersection where Officer Pacheco is located. Parents and students cannot walk through our parking lot during arrival and dismissal times for student safety.

In accordance with state law, students must be in attendance for at least 90% of the days a class is offered in order to receive credit or a final grade. This requirement applies regardless of whether absences are excused or unexcused.

*Exception: Students with a documented severe or life-threatening illness may qualify for an exemption through the Attendance Committee review process.
