This Week at Wright

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Our fifth graders had a great time performing their Aftican American Poetry Slam. Thanks to all of the parents who came out to see them. They did an awesome job.

We have about 50 more days of school left and a lot to get done before the end of the year.

A HUGE THANKS to the parents who are getting their children up each day and making sure they are at school on time.

Students visit the Media Center once a week with Mrs. Haggerty and her assistant, Ms. Vann.

They encourage a love for books and help students discover reading materials that they enjoy.

1. Go to the "Academics" tab

2. Select the dropdown menu

3. Click on "Library"

4. Choose "Resources"

Our fifth graders will begin learning typing skills during their time in the Media Center. In addition to this, all grade levels can check out books, read, complete literature-based activities, and listen to books read by Mrs. Haggerty.

Students also have the opportunity to purchase books at the Book Fair, which is scheduled for the week of April 21st.

You can support our Media Center by ensuring your child returns checked-out library books each week and is reading at home.

Please send a note for change of transportation. We can not accept calls unless it is an emergency. If you send a message via Dojo and do not get a response, your message was not received. Teachers do not have time to check Dojo often during the day. Please send a note with your child.

Practices are going well and sets are being built.😀😀😀

If your child is in the play, please make sure:

1. Students are at ALL play practices.
2. to contact Mr. Stroupe if your child is sick or absent. He won't know if they are absent or go home early.
3. You pick them up on time from rehearsal
4. to encourage your child to be on their best behavior during rehearsals
5. Check Class Dojo for information related to Play Practice
