12th Annual Student Art Show
Friday, May 3rd, and Saturday, May 4th we are thrilled to exhibit the 12th Annual Student Art Show, put on by the Wilmington Visual Arts Department! The art show is at Wilmington Middle School from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Friday, May 3rd and 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4th.
The Student Art Show is an extraordinary cumulation of art work that the students of Wilmington Public School have created throughout the year.

Kindergarten Move Up Day - May 16th
On Thursday, May 16th, our Kindergarten students will participate in “Move-Up Day” when they will visit the Shawsheen Elementary School. During this event, students will visit a first-grade classroom, have a chance to learn more about the school as a whole and meet Mrs. King, the school principal. We will be providing bus transportation to and from school. The visit is expected to last for one hour and students will return to the Boutwell in time for lunch.
A permission form will be sent home in your child's folder on Monday, April 29th. I ask that you please complete the form and return it to your child’s classroom no later than May 10, 2024.
First Grade Parent Orientation - May 16th at 6pm
Please join Mrs. Lisa King, Shawsheen principal for a virtual parent/guardian orientation on May 16th at 6:00 p.m. During this time, she will review day-to-day procedures, lunches/recess, arrival, and dismissal. There will also be a time to ask and have your questions answered. A PowerPoint of her presentation will be provided on the Shawsheen website with a voice-over for anyone who would like to re-watch it or missed the meeting. Field Day! Save the Date!
We will be having Field Day on May 21st!
Anyone interested in volunteering at this event must have a recent CORI form on file. To complete a form, please visit the Boutwell School on any school day between 9:00AM - 1:00PM. Please make sure you have a photo ID with you.

Town Meeting & Onsite Childcare - This Saturday May 4th!
During the Town Meeting on Saturday, 5/4/2024 beginning at 9:00 AM at Wilmington High School, the District will be providing childcare (from 9am to 2pm) for children in grades PreK through grade 6 so town residents can attend the meeting.
Sign-ups will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Space will be limited to maintain an appropriate childcare provider-to-child ratio.
Pre-registration is required. Deadline to sign up is 5pm on Wednesday, 5/1/2024.
