Education Insider Magazine
Cherry Creek Academy has been named a Top Charter School by Education Insider Magazine
We are incredibly honored to announce that Cherry Creek Academy has been named a Top Charter School by Education Insider Magazine.
This recognition comes at a special time as we reflect on our 30-year legacy of academic excellence and character development. From our founding in 1995 to today, our mission has remained the same: motivated students, responsible parents, and dedicated teachers working together for an exceptional education.
Check out the full feature in Education Insider to see how our history is shaping the future of our students.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Mark your calendars! Parent-teacher conferences are Thursday, February 12 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Friday, February 13 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. This is a valuable opportunity for parents to meet with their child's teachers to discuss academic progress, classroom behavior, and to collaborate on strategies for success.
Middle School Families - Because spring conferences are intended to support struggling students, attendance is not required. If you have no concerns about your child’s progress, please consider waiting until the week of February 2 to sign up. And you are always welcome to reach out via email. In an effort to create quality conferences and allow each family the ability to meet with their child’s teachers we ask that you limit your conference selection to 3 teachers.
Please note, there is NO SCHOOL for students on Friday, February 13.
Interpreters for Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parents! Resources are available for interpreters. If you would like to request an interpreter to assist at your child's conference(s), please complete the Interpreter Request Form by February 2, 2026. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Beth Midolo and Kristen Ryan - ELS Specialists

In an exciting first, we are partnering with the Drama Club! Our writers will help create short scripts and stories that will be brought to life and performed by CCA’s younger students.
The Writing Club will begin meeting on January 27th, 2026 and end on May 5th, 2026. Meetings will be nearly every Tuesday in Mr. Gaulden’s classroom. If a meeting is to be canceled, advance notice will be given to students and parents as soon as possible. Meetings will be after school until 4:40pm.
Returning Members: No new writing sample is required
There is no fee to join the 7/8 Writing Club.
For more information, please read the Spring 2026 Writing Club Information letter.
Transcendent Tales, Volume 7
I am so proud to present Volume 7 of Cherry Creek Academy’s student created literary magazine, “Transcendent Tales.” This magazine is entirely student driven, and all of the poems and stories within have been written and edited by the creative and talented minds of CCA. In this volume, we opened our magazine to submissions from 5th and 6th graders, and I was so impressed with the passion and aptitude of our younger writers.
Please enjoy!
