What is Interim Term? A unique opportunity for secondary students to engage in experiential learning beyond the traditional classroom setting. Our first Interim Term will take place March 9-13, 2026 where our students will participate in special courses designed to enrich their education in innovative and practical ways. Student participation in Interim Term is mandatory.
Each day will consist of one of the following:
Two sessions per day (one in the morning, one in the afternoon)
A full-day session (one course lasting all day)
Travel opportunities
Interim Term is a graded experience. Students must complete coursework and submit a final project, reflection, or other assigned work by the end of the week. These grades will count as 5% of the semester average.
Interim Term counts toward Legacy’s required instructional minutes, and attendance is mandatory. Parent Discretionary Days may not be used during this week. Absences must be made up during tutorials with Mrs. Jean. Failure to complete this requirement will result in a zero for the week, and the student will be ineligible to exempt finals.

Dress Code Reminder 🚨
Athletic shorts are not permitted any days; they are only allowed on special days, and students will be notified when these days occur.
Demerits
In an effort to decrease the number of SBRs, the secondary campus is implementing a demerit system of behavior discipline per the Family Handbook pp. 30-31. Demerits will be given for classroom interruptions such as excessive talking, blurting out, being unprepared for class (no Chromebook, uncharged Chromebook, no required headphones, etc.), or having to go to a locker to retrieve a book, binder, etc. Each 10th demerit will equal one SBR, and the count will start over each quarter. Parents and students may check their demerit count under the behavior tab on their FACTS dashboard.
Cell Phone Policy 📵
Students will not be allowed to have their cell phones, smart watches/other smart devices on their person during the school day, from the time they arrive until 3:30 pm or the end of their school day. Students are encouraged to keep their cell phones and smart devices in their cars. Otherwise, they will surrender these devices upon entering school. Legacy Administration will provide a secure location for the phone/device storage.
There will be exceptions for students with documented medical needs, disabilities requiring accommodations, or for situations involving legal or safety protocols.
If students are found to have a cell phone or a smart device at school during these hours, it will be taken and turned over to the office. A fine of $75 will be assessed in order to recover their device. If a student refuses to surrender these devices, a Level 2 SBR will be issued for insubordination.
Parents can still communicate with their students via email on their chromebooks or contact the front office.
A/B Schedule
We will now have set A days and B days.
Monday / Wednesday - A Day
Tuesday / Thursday - B Day
Friday - CHAPEL : Alternating A/B Days. Please refer to the Master Secondary Calendar if you are unsure what day it is.
Fees & Payments Policy
Reminder: Legacy has launched our premiere FACTS integration system so you no longer need to bring checks/cash to the office to pay for athletic fees, field trip fees, electronic fees, etc. All of these charges will be easily billed through the FACTS system. You will receive an email notifying you of the charge and the auto draft date. You will also be able to login to your FACTS family portal, choose the financial tab and view all of your tuition and fee charges at any time.
- For athletics, once the roster for a particular sport is finalized (end of the second week of official practice for the sport), we will send out the charges and payment notices.

FAMILY HANDBOOKS
To ensure responsible stewardship of school resources and reduce the significant costs associated with printing large volumes of handbooks, Legacy Christian Academy is transitioning to digital student handbooks beginning this school year.
We kindly ask all parents and students to download and review the appropriate handbook in its entirety.
