๐ŸŽƒWelcome to Spooky Season๐Ÿ‘ป ๐ŸŽƒWelcome to Spooky Season๐Ÿ‘ป

A Note From Our Principal A Note From Our Principal

October brings chilly mornings, vibrant leaves, and so much seasonal energy to our school! Weโ€™re leaning into autumn all month long, exploring natureโ€™s changes through creative art, sensory bins, science experiments, and more. Plus, weโ€™re gearing up for favorite fall events like Touch A Truck for fire safety, book fair, spooky spirit week, and our fall fest & trunk or treat, where our students are sure to have fun and make new memories. As always, thank you for trusting us with your childโ€™s growth and learning.

Sincerely,

Angela

Drop Off Policy

To ensure the best possible learning experience for all of our students, all children must be dropped off and in their classrooms by 9:00 AM each day. Any arrival after 9:00 AM will require prior communication with the school or a doctorโ€™s note in order to be admitted for the day.

Why this matters:
Consistency is key for young learners. When children arrive late, it can cause disruption not only to their own routine, but also to the flow of the classroom. Late arrivals interrupt learning activities, impact peer interactions, and can create distractions for teachers who are focused on guiding the class.

Our priority is to maintain a safe, cohesive learning environment where every child can thrive. This is only possible when we minimize disruptions and work together through proactive communication.

We appreciate your partnership in helping us create a stable, engaging, and respectful atmosphere for all children and staff!

Administering Medication

All medication must have a log filled out so we can offer it to your child. Medication logs are available at the front desk. If this medication we must provide consistently for a long period of time or a rescue medication, we will need you to fill out a modification plan. If you'd like medication to be provided "as needed" please fill out the medication log and prepare for us to communicate every time we would like to administer either via tadpoles or phone call Reminder: Medication must be in its original bottle and we can only administer 2 doses a day! If a medication says "doctor's note for children under 2", we will need a doctor's note with the specific dosage. All emergency/rescue medication must have a dosage that can stay at the school at all times. We will communicate when medication has expired.

Sick Policy Reminder

With all of the sicknesses we have had this past flu season, please ensure your children are fever-free when dropping them off. If you do get a diagnosis of a sickness, please let us know! A lot of these bugs are contagious and knowing what's going around helps us look for symptoms and stop the spread! All medication must have a log filled out so we can offer it. Reminder: Medication must be in its original bottle and we can only administer 2 doses a day!

Labeling Items

Please ensure all items that belong to your child are labeled with their full names! This includes all water bottles, extra clothes, jackets, backpacks, nap sheets, etc. This is a licensing requirement. We ask that you maintain this to the best of your ability throughout the school year!

Late Pickup Policy

As a reminder, our program closes promptly at 5:30 PM. Any arrival after 5:31 PM will result in an immediate late fee of $1 per minute per child. Please note that repeat late pick-ups may result in withdrawal from our program.

Why this is important:

Our license with the state is marked for 5:30 PM, meaning any time beyond that is not permitted under our licensing regulations. Remaining past this time is a violation that we must take seriously.

Communication is key โ€” if you anticipate being late, please contact us before the pick-up deadline so we can plan accordingly.

If we cannot reach either parent/guardian, we will allow a 10-minute grace period before we are required to contact the Newtown Square Police Department for child safety purposes.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain compliance, respect our teachersโ€™ time, and most importantly, ensure the safety of all children in our care.
