Spring sports are in full swing, and the warmer days accompanied by sunlight extending well into the evening make this the perfect time of year to come out and support the Brahmas. This Thursday is an especially big day for our athletes, and if you join us at DBHS, you can watch the following contests:

- Swimming (all levels) versus Rowland

All of the contests are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.

DBHS'S Open Letter Project
The DBHS Open Letter Project is March 25. This is a presentation of a live reading of literature, focusing on the theme “Sharing Our Voices Through the Immigrant Experience.” We are excited about this project and would like to have the participation of students and parents.
- Students may use this link to sign up as a reader. This is an essential and meaningful way to make this project successful. We encourage all students to take a chance on sharing their voice with us!
- Parents and students may use this link to contribute personal video reflections of their own Coming to America story. We would like to encourage parents and students, who want to participate in this way, to record a short, 2-minutes-or-less video answering one of our reflection questions. It’s easy! Just use the link, read the instructions, press record, and tell your story!
Pi Day Fundraiser
Thursday, March 14, 2024, the Class of 2026 held a fundraiser on Pi Day! Students donated money to get a chance to place a pie in a teacher's face. 💚 Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159. Pi Day is an annual opportunity for math enthusiasts to recite the infinite digits of Pi, talk to their friends about math, and eat pie.💚
English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) Meeting
Hello DBHS Families,
Please join us for our last and 4th English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) meeting of the year on Monday, March 25 at 7 p.m. on Zoom. Come learn information about the English Learner program at DBHS and participate in our Needs Assessment Survey that will determine our informational sessions for the following school year!
You will also have an opportunity to meet our EL staff, ask questions, and learn about our ELD program. We hope you can join us!
