Welcome Back!

Dear Weaver Lake Elementary School Families & Supporters,

The Weaver Lake Elementary PTO would like to welcome you back to school for the 2024-2025 school year! In addition, we welcome our new staff members, teachers, and students to our Weaver Lake Elementary School family!

What is PTO? How can I get involved?

PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization, a school-based organization with a mission to make our school a better place. It supports the education of children at Weaver Lake Elementary by fostering relationships among the school, families, and teachers.

We are mothers, fathers, family members, guardians, teachers and administrators that work together to create fun events, purchase supplies for students and staff, and collaborate with others to make our students' time at school the best possible.

What does the PTO do?

*Organize - Organizing school events, activities, and fundraisers is a key part of our PTO.

*Enhance - Through fundraising efforts, we help to provide classroom supplies and funding for field trips, art programming, and other student activities.

*Support - We aim to support our students, staff, and Weaver Lake families.

*Involved - We help plan community events, the annual Spring Carnival, Book Fair, Engineering Night, and much much more!

We invite you to join us at one of our meetings, either virtually or in person. Meeting dates coming soon! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to one of our friendly PTO members or send us an email.

We hope you have a wonderful year and to see you at one of our events or meetings! Look for more information coming home with students in September!

Thank you,

Weaver Wear Fall Sale (Sept. 9-22)

Our first online Weaver Wear sale for this year will run from September 9-22. The orders will be delivered to school or your home by October 4. This fall look for some new polo shirt options and a STEM lanyard, among other new additions. As with last year, we have an option to "donate a shirt" that will go to a WLE student. You are also able to choose school or home delivery for your family's order. If you have any suggestions for items you’d like to see in our online store, please reach out to me. Watch for a Weaver Wear flyer to be sent home in your student’s backpack the first week of school!

Starting September 9th, the online store will go live and can be found at WeaverLakeSTEM.ItemOrder.com and via the QR code. If you scan the QR code before September 9th, it will say "store has expired".

Weaver Wear Recycle Project (Sept. 9-22)

I can’t believe we are already entering our third year of the Weaver Wear Recycle Project! To date, we have received over 50 donated items that were distributed to Weaver Lake Elementary students to enable them to participate in Weaver Wear Days! Donated adult items are used as staff appreciation giveaways throughout the year. We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to our generous families who have donated items to students at our school over the past two years.

As you are gearing up for back-to-school and find Weaver Wear that you are ready to pass along to a new home, please think of the WWRP and bring the items to one of the donation events throughout the year. This year’s first donation event will run from Sept. 9-22; the donation bin will be located in the main school lobby. We appreciate everyone who has donated gently used Weaver Wear over the past two years and hope we continue to have this community involvement for years to come!

How To Request a Donated Weaver Wear Item:

If you would like to request for your student(s) to receive a donated Weaver Wear item, please reach out to Beth Bergfield who can connect you with the school social worker. Our school social worker maintains the stock of donated items and makes sure every item can find a new home. They will work with you to find the right size and style so that your students can rock their new Weaver Wear around the halls!
