Winter Weather Winter Weather

As we approach inclement weather season, we would like to inform each of you of the process and methods Conway Public School District will disseminate information regarding possible school closings. Please review the following.

Mornings of possible inclement weather, CPSD will begin evaluating road conditions within Faulkner County by 4:00 a.m. while monitoring weather projections for the remainder of the day. Possible actions could include closures, delayed start times, or in certain scenarios an early release. School closings or late start determinations will occur by 6:00 a.m. before morning bus routes begin.

CPSD will utilize an automated calling and texting system to notify students, parents and staff of possible closings or delays. A pre-recorded message will be sent to all phone numbers in the student and staff directory within 10 minutes. Please make sure the numbers that you listed on the student information sheet are current.

If school is to continue as normal, CPSD will not make an announcement.

Our social media outlets will be continuously updated to keep parents and community members informed of school closing status. To ensure everyone is informed, television stations will also be contacted.

Please review the CPSD Bus Routes - Snow/Inclement Weather Routes.

Nurse's Note - January 2024 Nurse's Note - January 2024

I hope you and your children had a wonderful break! 2024 is here and cold weather is as well. It is so important for you and your children to find ways to remain active even during the winter months. Activity is not only good for your physical health, but also for your mental health. Fortunately in Arkansas, our winter’s are usually fairly mild and you can always bundle up and layer clothing and get outside to stay active. If it is too cold for you and your children, there are some great ideas for indoor activities in the link below. Another fun idea is to search for GoNoodle or Kids Bop dance videos on Youtube. Stay warm and keep moving!
