One of our main goals for this class is to “look for ways to make a positive difference”. This year, our students have truly made a difference with the various programs that they have helped lead and run. Classroom recycling is making a huge difference. Students have collected over 405 full barrels of recycling this year. Cafeteria composting is making a huge difference by diverting 4,815 pounds of food from the trash and allowing it to be turned into compost instead. Students have collected numerous buckets of trash from the campus area in a “Clean Earth” effort. Our clothing bin continues to collect used clothing to be donated to developing countries. All of these efforts are showing the students that they can really make a positive difference in the world.
