Back to the grind this week! Our first full week back to school and it is a full one. The Franklin County basketball tournament begins this week with games beginning on Tuesday. We will have teams playing each night of the tournament and hopefully three on Saturday in the finals!
Congratulations to our varsity girls basketball team on their area wins over Colbert Heights and Sheffield last week. Our varsity boys also won a critical area game at Sheffield while falling in overtime at Colbert Heights.
It will be a return to Winter this week so bundle up when you come to school!
I spent the better of Friday entering baseball and softball games into my Google Calendar. Two things about that: 1) it took a long time because of the sheer number of games and tournaments and 2) I know I will have to change about a third of them at some point because of weather.
The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears have treated us to two classic NFL games in Chicago just a few weeks apart. Not school related. Just thought I would make that observation. Love real post-season professional football. The minor leagues (a.k.a. college football) is a hot mess though!
