Carter's Corner

Good Evening, and HAPPY HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for the first Pizza with the Principal last Monday! The turnout was amazing, and it was great to share our plans for the year at Lipscomb. Our next event will be in October, and I hope to see you there!

This week, we need your help to spread the word about North Texas Giving Day happening THIS THURSDAY! We’ve already raised over $7,000 (a huge jump from $400 just last week!), and we can push that even further. If everyone reading this shares on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, we can greatly expand our reach and boost our NTGD results. Adding a personal message about why you love Lipscomb and our PTA makes a big difference! Check out the Lipscomb PTA (@lipscombpta) Instagram for some amazing videos supporting this campaign.

Let’s set some records together this year!

With Gratitude,

Mr. Carter

Campus Safety

There were a few questions raised last week in Pizza with the Principal regarding Campus Safety. I emailed a few items out last week, but they are for your review!

Family & Community Survey

Please take a few moments to fill out the Parent Survey Below (Click the flyer to access survey!) This information is given to the district and to our campus to guide us in our work on campus this year! Your feedback is very much appreciated! Survey closes on October 31st!

Woodrow Wilson Sneakerball

From Principal Barnett, Woodrow Wilson High School:

We’re excited to announce that Woodrow Wilson be hosting our Inaugural Sneaker Ball, a special event dedicated to celebrating our amazing Elementary students to kick off Woodrow Wilson High School Homecoming Week! This year’s Sneaker Ball promises to be a memorable evening, filled with fun and community spirit.

All proceeds from the event will benefit our special education units in our feeder schools. These funds will be used to provide a Christmas surprise for our incredible students, making the holiday season even more special for them.

We invite you to join us for a fantastic evening of music, dancing, and community celebration. Your participation not only supports our students but also helps make a positive impact in their lives.

We have provided a QR code for ticket purchases ($5), and we encourage you to get yours early to ensure you don’t miss out. Stay tuned for more information!

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our students. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and make this Sneaker Ball a night to remember for this

Pride Member of the Week!🦁

We’re excited to announce that Ms. Gamez has been selected as our Pride Member of the Week for her outstanding start to the school year! She has embraced leadership by stepping up as Co-Chair of the Multicultural Committee and has quickly become a mentor to our new teachers, offering guidance and support with a generous spirit. Ms. Gamez is frequently highlighted during classroom walkthroughs and consistently shows a growth mindset, always open to feedback and eager to refine her skills.
