Happy 9th Week of the 3rd 9 Weeks (this is a 10 week grading period)! Our Varsity Boys Basketball played against Dodd City in Commerce on Monday night the 19th. Although they didn't win, they played hard. We are so proud of them!
For last week, we had a lot of great activities going on throughout the district. As part of FFA week, we had the Southwest Dairy Farmers bring a dairy cow for our Pre-K through 8th graders to learn about milk, dress up days and a rodeo for our Pre-K through 5th graders. Kindergarten had a royal tea party. Our high school baseball team played in a tournament in Union Hill. Travelin' Toms Coffee Truck visited for our 6th through 12th graders and staff. Our Ag Mechanics students participated in the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Ag Mechanics Contest over the weekend. Yantis ISD was also honored to unveil our new marquee on Highway 154 donated by CNB bank. In addition to these wonderful activities, YISD closed on the 5 acre land tract that runs parallel to the baseball field for future use and growth.
As always, it is an honor and a privilege to be a part of the Yantis ISD Owl Family. Have a great week!
