Veteran's Day Holiday - No School
A final reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday, November 11th, is Veteran's Day. There will be no school in observance of this national holiday. We honor and thank all our veterans for their service.
Message from PE Teacher Mr. Holaday
Aloha Parents,
We value a safe and active learning environment in our Physical Education program. To help ensure the best experience for all students, we are sending a friendly reminder about proper PE attire, specifically athletic footwear.
We've recently observed a minor but gradual uptick in students experiencing foot discomfort and minor injuries, which we attribute to a decrease in wearing appropriate, covered athletic shoes during class. Proper footwear is crucial for stability, comfort, and injury prevention as students run, jump, and move.
We ask for your help in encouraging your child to wear athletic sneakers (closed-toe) on PE days. I will also be sharing this reminder directly with students.
Your assistance is particularly beneficial now for our 5th Grade students, who will be starting their PACER race assessment on the courts in the coming week or two. Appropriate shoes are vital for safe movement, maximizing comfort, and boosting performance during this assessment.
Thank you for your partnership and conscientious effort toward student wellness and the continued success of our PE program.
As a reminder to everyone who utilizes our front parking lot, we kindly ask for your cooperation in maintaining clear and safe access for all vehicles.
Please note the established guideline: NO DOUBLE PARKING is permitted.
This means vehicles should not park directly behind another vehicle that is already properly backed into or pulled into a marked parking space. Double parking creates significant challenges by blocking access for others, especially during peak pick-up and drop-off times, and can lead to safety hazards.
Your support in keeping our lot accessible for staff, visitors, and emergency vehicles is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for helping us ensure a smooth and safe flow in our school lot!
