Riverbend Parent Newsletter

From the Principal
Riverbend Families,
The spring has flown by and we’re on the verge of a well-deserved summer break. I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and relaxing summer season with your families. It has been our pleasure to work with you and your students this school year. If you have an 8th grade student moving on to PHS next year, I wish you the best of luck and I look forward to seeing the success they have as a high school student. To our soon-to-be 8th grade families, I am excited to continue the journey with you next school year as we prepare your students for high school. We will be sending out communication in July regarding our Back-To-School Information Night. So, please keep an eye out for emails and social media posts as that time nears. As always, please feel free to reach out over the summer if you have any questions.

Counselor Corner
Current 7th Grade Students who have not yet met with the counselors for Course Selection should do so as soon as possible. Fill out the Counselor Request Form in 7th Grade Central to get on their schedule!
Nurse's Notes
In preparation for upcoming 8th graders, the state of Missouri requires all students to have current immunizations or current exemptions on file. Please check with your student’s physician to make sure they are current on their vaccines prior to their 8th grade year. Please call our nurse with any questions.
If your student currently has medications with our nurse and is not attending summer school at Riverbend, please arrange with our building nurse for medication pick up. Medications that are not picked up by the end of the school year will be destroyed.
Per district policy, medications cannot be sent home with students.
Please make sure that you are updating your student’s medical conditions in Infinite Campus and completing the form allowing your student to take over the counter medications at school if needed as well as permission for screenings. If you have any health-related questions, please reach out to your building nurse.
