Bauer Elementary Holiday Program December 2022

Students in Mrs. Reed's class took a week of morning work to learn how to say "hello", "goodbye", and "you are awesome" in a few languages: French, Korean, Spanish, and Urdo. They learned a fact about the country and drew a picture of the flag. It was quick, but meaningful work! The cherry on top of this interesting and engaging study was having our EL teacher Ms. Stimley come do a language lesson with the class. Students and teachers attempted to follow directions as they were given to us in different languages. The biggest takeaways from the students followed a common theme: putting yourself in another's shoes is important! #fireupgoeagles Students in Mrs. Reed's class took a week of morning work to learn how to say "hello", "goodbye", and "you are awesome" in a few languages: French, Korean, Spanish, and Urdo. There was excitement and song in the air as our friends from Harbor House provided a live audience for Park Elementary's dress rehearsal today. This particular song was about a family who could not get rid of their fruitcake. #fireupgoeagles There was excitement and song in the air as our friends from Harbor House provided a live audience for Park Elementary's dress rehearsal today. Sixth-grade students at Baldwin Street Middle School were lucky to have Mrs. VanderLugt, an HPS instructional coach and author, teach them about leads and endings in their writing class. Mrs. VanderLugt emphasized the value of revision, indicating she rewrote her book ten times. #fireupgoeagles Sixth-grade students at Baldwin Street Middle School were lucky to have Mrs. VanderLugt, an HPS instructional coach and author, teach them about leads and endings in their writing class.
