About the 2026-2027 PRIDE Pre-School Tuition-Based Program:
Livingston Public Schools' P.R.I.D.E. (Pre-School Readiness Individual Development Education) Program is a full-day program with spots available for non-disabled preschool students. In this program, students will be provided with a language-rich, research-based curriculum. They will spend their days with New Jersey-certified teachers and their peers, both disabled and non-disabled, to achieve the expectations of the school district's well-designed curriculum, based on New Jersey's Student Learning Standards for preschool. The students gather daily to develop social language, work as partners and in groups, and explore, play, create, share, and learn.
Scheduling details of the program will be shared with families who apply for consideration. The cost for students selected by lottery is $9,300 for the full 2026-2027 school year. The program takes place from 8:20 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. daily and follows the school district’s calendar.
A birth certificate, a copy of immunization, and proof of Livingston residency will be required of those students admitted to the program. Children must be 3 years old on or before October 1, 2026.

HMS ARTIST SHINES AT "EARTHLY EXPRESSIONS"
LPS is proud to celebrate the artistic achievements of seventh grader Eva Karul. Recently, several of Eva’s nature-inspired pieces were selected for the “Earthly Expressions” Art Show, hosted by the Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center (a Morris County Park Commission facility).
The exhibition, which celebrates the beauty of the natural world and its wildlife, featured a curated selection of Eva’s impressive portfolio. The excitement reached a peak during the Opening Night Gala on December 5th, where one of Eva’s signature pieces—a stunning depiction of elephants—was officially sold!
In the photos shared with us, you can see Eva proudly standing next to her gallery wall, pointing to the now-empty space where her sold artwork once hung. Selling a piece at a professional exhibition is a remarkable milestone for any artist, let alone a middle school student! Congratulations, Eva!

TABLE TENNIS CHAMPS!
Livingston students—from the elementary, middle, and high school levels—earned one championship and two bronze medals after three days of intense competition at the Joola 27th Annual North American Team Championships that were held recently at the Gaylord National Resort in Washington, D.C. A total of 846 players on 203 teams, from across the United States and around the world, competed for championships in 13 divisions, each based on the teams’ average USA Table Tennis rating.
- Matchpoint TTC 5, led by Samuel Liu (9th grade, LHS), along with teammates Adelaide Luter (Boston, MA) and Ryuichi Sako (New Jersey), claimed the Division 9 Championship out of 16 teams, finishing the tournament undefeated.
- Matchpoint TTC 7, led by team captain Mishra Suhaan (4th grade, Collins), along with Faye Wang (Passipany, New Jersey) and Edward Zhang (Short Hills, New Jersey), finished in the top four in Division 10 out of 16 teams.
- Matchpoint TTC 10, led by team captain Harlan Sun (6th grade, MPMS), along with William Liu (4th grade, Collins) and Vina Lin (Brooklyn, NY), secured third place in Division 13 out of six teams.
Congratulations to all on this awesome achievement!
LHS STUDENT LED HOLIDAY GIFT BASKET DRIVE
LHS sophomore Disti Khanna recently led a holiday gift basket drive to support families and pets in need. Partnering with over seven businesses, she gathered $3,118 in in-kind donations to create hundreds of care packages!
Volunteers from the National Charity League helped prepare the packages, which Disti personally delivered in Newark and Clifton, NJ, through Bridges Outreach and Embrace Relief, directly assisting many families. She will also meet with the Livingston Town Council to share project highlights and its impact on the community. This project is part of Disti’s long-standing commitment to philanthropy, a cause she has passionately pursued for many years and considers one of her greatest passions.

Before the school break, Heritage Middle School's 7th, 8th, and Select Choruses took the stage for their annual Winter Concert, delivering a performance filled with energy and skill. The program showcased a diverse range of musical styles, allowing our student vocalists to demonstrate their growth in various genres and technical areas. PROCESS FOR ADDRESSING PARENT CONCERNS
Livingston Public Schools strives to respond to concerns and/or questions as quickly and effectively as possible. In a school system, as in any organization, the “chain of command” refers to communication levels of authority in the school district. The philosophy behind the chart in the link below is to refer community members to those people in the organization who can best solve any concerns or questions that may arise, and then direct them to the appropriate people if issues are not able to be effectively addressed at the first level.
COMMUNICATION TOOLS • SUICIDE LIFELINE • MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT
