Hey parents! We've noticed a few safety concerns in our front parking lot recently, so we wanted to share some important reminders to help keep ALL of our students, families, and staff safe!

1. Reserved Parking Spaces: Please do not park in spaces marked "Reserved." These spaces have been purchased and are designated for specific individuals. We appreciate your help in keeping them available for those who have reserved them.

2. Slow Down: Please drive slowly and carefully through our parking lot. We've noticed some vehicles accelerating quickly or traveling at unsafe speeds. With students, teachers, and families walking through the area, we do not want anyone getting hurt. Please slow down and stay alert!

3. Exit: Please do not enter the parking lot through the designated exit. Our traffic flow is designed to keep vehicles moving safely, and entering through the exit creates a dangerous situation for other drivers and those walking through the parking lot. Please use the designated entrance at all times.

Lunch Visitor Reminders Lunch Visitor Reminders

We love welcoming families to join their children for lunch at our school! These visits are a special opportunity to spend time with your child, and we appreciate your involvement in our school. To ensure that lunchtime remains a positive and enjoyable experience for ALL students, we kindly ask that families and visitors follow these expectations:

  • Lunch visits are for your child only. Parents may eat with their own child but may not invite other students to join them.

  • Food may only be provided to your own child. Please do not bring or distribute food, treats, or snacks to other students - unless you have explicit permission from the teacher (example, birthday cupcakes, treats, etc.)

While we know these gestures come from a place of kindness, they can unintentionally disrupt our lunch routines and cause other students to feel excluded. Please make sure that other relatives who may come for lunch (aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.) are aware of these expectations.

Thank you for helping us create a welcoming and inclusive lunchtime environment for all students! 🐻

🧑 As we kick off November, it's the perfect time to help our children develop an attitude of gratitude! Teaching your children to recognize and appreciate the good things in their lives helps build kindness, empathy, and a positive mindset. Here are a few simple ways to practice thankfulness as a family!

πŸ’¬ Ask a daily gratitude question. At dinner or bedtime, ask your child, β€œWhat are three things you're thankful for today?” Encourage them to think beyond toys and material things!

❀️ Practice saying THANK YOU! Challenge your child to thank someone each day whether it be a teacher, friend, family member, or someone who makes their day a little brighter.

🌟 Model gratitude. Let your child hear YOU expressing appreciation for the little things in life. Children learn thankfulness by seeing it in action!

I have personally tried this one and it was very meaningful for my family...

🍁 Create a gratitude jar! Have family members write or draw something they're thankful for on slips of paper every day or at least every week. At the end of November, read them together!

🐻 BEARy Helpful Reminder: Gratitude isn't just for Thanksgiving! Let's make November a month of kindness, appreciation, and gratitude!
