Application Requirement Updates at Queens

Hello,
In the wake of recent natural disasters that have had catastrophic effects across our region, we understand how challenging this time may be, and want to make the college application process as easy as possible for students.

At Queens, we’ve adjusted our application requirements in the following ways:

  • We’re now accepting unofficial and self-reported grades (pictures or screenshots transcripts are acceptable).
  • The essay is now an optional part of our application process.

We hope these changes help to make the application process more accessible. As always, our admissions team is here if you have any questions or need support.

Jaquette Gilbert, School Counselor

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I enjoy baking, reading, singing, and spending time with my family.

Tell a little bit about your background.

I've been an educator for 15 years. I have experience as a high school teacher in multiple brick-and-mortar settings and I've served as a school counselor virtually. I've enjoyed learning and serving families over the years.

What do you do at SCWS and what do you enjoy most about your role?

I'm a School Counselor who loves meeting students where they are and helping them get to where they need to be. It's such a beautiful moment when a student achieves a goal, especially one that proved to be challenging along the way.

What do you want the students to know about you?

I want students to know I'm here if they need me.
