Principal's Message
Note from Mrs. Lockwood:
It's hard to believe we are wrapping up October! We had an amazing month of teaching and learning. Friday is Book Character dress-up day. Students may wear their costumes with their favorite book! No face paint, weapons, or costumes that cannot be maintained for the day. Save the elaborate costumes for trick-or-treating this weekend.
We reached our attendance goal one day this week; let’s see if we can reach it again tomorrow! I know we can finish the week strong.
Friday: 124/129, 96%
Monday: 126/129, 98%🎉

Family Movie Night
Join us for Family Movie Night!
The votes are in, and the students picked Toy Story 5 for our annual Family Movie Night. You will receive a paper order form in your child's red folder. Tickets are $5 each or $20 for a family of four or more. Tickets include the movie, plus popcorn, juice, and a treat! You may pay through the Parent Portal, or send in cash (exact change) or a check made out to Clairemont.
Thanksgiving Luncheon
You're invited to a Thanksgiving Feast!
We welcome you to join us for our annual Thanksgiving Luncheon on Thursday, November 12, 2026. All students may have up to two guests for lunch. Lunch is $6, and ticket sales are open now through November 3 in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Detailed instructions for paying for the holiday luncheon are on the next page. Your receipt will serve as your ticket. There will be no ticket sales on the day of the luncheon, but you may bring your own lunch and join your student if you do not have a ticket.
This year's luncheon menu: roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, green beans, roast sweet potatoes, fruit selections, and milk. A vegetarian option and a vegetable plate will also be available. Students with documented medical dietary needs will be contacted individually about accommodations.
Due to limited parking, you may park along the street. However, please be sure not to block our neighbors' driveways. On the day of the luncheon, please enter the building through the cafeteria doors located directly across from our playground field. You will see signage and Clairemont staff members directing you to the entrance. From there, you will enter the cafeteria and join the line with your child if you purchased lunch. Once you and your child(ren) have received lunch, please enjoy your time in the cafeteria at any available table.
Please see the schedule below for specific lunchtimes by homeroom. You will notice a designated break between classes and grade levels to allow for cleanup and setup for the next group. To ensure an enjoyable experience for all and a smooth transition between classes, please plan to arrive several minutes early. Also, please plan to conclude your meal at the designated time to avoid backup for other eager students and their families. Your support in this area is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We look forward to your visit!

Signing up as a member allows you to fully access our website and add your bulldog to the directory, along with classes and groups/clubs. This membership supports our school and the National and State PTA by paying annual dues that help us operate. We use PTA funds to support teacher grants and school events. A portion of the $10 serves as dues paid to the National and State Parent Teacher Association, which is our governing organization.
