A Message from Ms. Peterson

Hello MCP3 Families,

As we come to the close of this wonderful school year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for allowing us to be a part of your child’s early learning journey. It has been an absolute joy and honor to watch your child(ren) grow and learn so much over the past months. Your child has made tremendous strides socially, emotionally, and academically. Their curiosity, creativity, and laughter have filled our days with joy, and we couldn’t be more proud of all they have accomplished. We look forward to celebrating with you all on tomorrow 6/10 @ 9:00 in the North Campus Gym for the Completion Ceremony.Scholars are encouraged to dress up for the ceremony, however, they are NOT wearing caps or gowns to limit distractions. The safety and security of our scholars, families, and staff is our highest priority. To ensure a safe, organized, and positive experience for all, please carefully review the expectations and procedures below.

Arrival and Entry

  • School arrival will run as normal and scholars should arrive on time (8:00am) to ensure they get breakfast and can prepare for the ceremony with their class. Scholars will NOT be able to join their class once the ceremony begins.

  • Gym Doors will open to families at 8:30 AM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 9:00am.

  • Parents may park on 14th St. and enter the Gym through the doors off of the playground or park in the main parking lot and use the North Main Entrance. The North Main Entrance will be closed between 8:50am-9:05am to allow our K3 scholars to line up in the hallways for the procession without interruption. 14th St. entrance will remain open during this time.

  • Balloons are NOT allowed in the gym.

During the Program

  • All scholars will remain seated with their class and teachers for the entirety of the program.

  • For safety and security reasons, no scholar will be dismissed during the program.

  • Families are asked to remain seated in the gym throughout the program and refrain from interfering with the ceremony. Please do NOT cross into the designated scholar area.

  • During the Presentation of K3 Candidates, families of each class will be invited to move to the designated photo opp area and then asked to return to their seats.

Dismissal Procedures

  • At the conclusion of the ceremony, scholars will exit the gym with their teachers and transition safely back to their classrooms.

  • Families must remain in the gym during this transition to allow for secure movement and accountability of all scholars.

  • Once scholars are safely in their classrooms, families may sign their scholar out directly from the classroom with the classroom teacher if they are leaving for the day.

  • Families are invited to come back to MCP3 for pictures and refreshments. All families must exit the building by 10:30 AM to maintain building operations.

Additional Reminders

  • Scholars must have a $0 balance by 6/8/26 to participate in our completion ceremony & the carnival on the last day of school (6/11).

  • There is NO aftercare on Wednesday, 6/10.

  • Last Day of School ends at 12:00pm NOON and ALL scholars must be picked up at this time. Scholars should plan to wear their end of year shirts (these will be going home today) with comfortable bottoms, socks (for the bouncy houses), and tennis shoes for other activities!

Milwaukee College Prep K3 program is still accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year. Help us spread the word to families and friends and enroll your child to start preschool in the fall.

We wish you all a safe and fun summer!

With Appreciation & Respect,

Ms. Peterson

MCP3 ABC Countdown to Summer

Scholars and staff at MCP3 will be engaging in an ABC Countdown to Summer the last 26 days of school. This is a fun and creative way we will help our scholars to learn their letters as well as an opportunity to create special memories the last few weeks of school in K3! Be sure to check out the calendar below of our letter themed days. There are only a few days that require something be brought in from home such as 5/15- H for Hat Day!
