Meet our Mental Health Team
We are lucky to have a large Mental Health team at South Ridge! From Left to Right:
- Paula Bishop, School Social Worker (pabishop@dcsdk12.org)
- Laurie Jones, School Counselor (ljones1@dcsdk12.org )
- Amber Marshall, School Psychologist (amarshall@dcsdk12.org )
Our Mental Health team works together to support the needs of our school!
Wolves Den
🐺 Our school has a special support room called the Wolves Den. Inside the Wolves Den, you'll often find Mr. Josh and Ms. Z working to provide students with emotional regulation support and breaks throughout the day.
We have comfy spaces for students in the Wolves Den!
💜 The Wolves Den is designed to help students regulate. The Wolves Den has lots of tools students can use to support emotional regulation. In the Wolves Den, you will find comfy spaces for students to use coping skills.
Wellness Scale
😊 Here at South Ridge, we utilize a wellness scale to check in and share how we are feeling. Students use a scale 1 (worst day ever) to 10 (best day imaginable) to check in and share how they are feeling.
We are here to help!
We love what we do and encourage you to reach out to anyone on our mental health team should you have any questions or need support. Email is the best way to get a hold of our mental health team. We look forward to getting to know you and your family. It is an honor to serve the South Ridge community!
