A Message from Principal Smith
Parents,
What a fantastic and busy week we've had! Our students have been fully engaged in a wide variety of cool activities, highlighting Central Middle School's commitment to student choice and personalized learning.
This week's highlights included:
Enriching Field Trips
Team Building with Ted Wiese
"Food Choice" Sampling Day
Chartwells Food Truck Fun
Donut Day!
A massive thank you to all the volunteers who made Donut Day a huge success!
Student Nutrition and Choice
Our first "Food Choice" Sampling Day was a hit! Students sampled two potential new menu items: Big City BBQ Pork and a Vegan Sloppy Joe. Students then voted for their favorite, giving us valuable feedback that will directly influence future additions to our lunch menu.
Speaking of food, we saw smiles all around when students had the chance to purchase chicken and waffles from the Chartwells' Food Truck.
Whether it's the personalized path in our academies or the items on their lunch tray, I'm incredibly proud to say that choice is a core part of the Central Middle School experience.
Have an amazing weekend!
October is National School Principal Month!
October 2nd is Custodian Appreciation Day! Thank you to all our custodians!

Yom Kippur is the evening of Wednesday, October 1 - Thursday October 2:
Yom Kippur, the "Day of Atonement," is the holiest day of the year in Judaism, marking the culmination of the High Holy Days. It is a day for deep introspection, repentance for sins, and seeking forgiveness from both God and fellow human beings. Celebrated with a 25-hour fast, special religious services, prayer, and abstaining from work, it concludes with the joyous breaking of the fast and a feeling of spiritual renewal.
