TheConnectionPrograms for Exceptional Children, Feb. 6, 2023

Happy February!

Things are well under way in each of our schools with students learning and growing! In this edition of The Connection you will find an easy Valentine's Day craft, a parent training event on FBAs and BIPs, a Family AAC Engagement Group for parents to learn more about their student's communication device, and even more resources.

We hope you'll take some time to read through these resources, and don't forget that if you need a question answered or just aren't sure where to turn, you can contact our Parent Liaison, Erika Chapman, at 843-292-1008 or echapman@f1s.org. She would love to connect with you!

Music Therapy in F1S

Did you know that most of our self-contained classrooms receive a visit from one of our two F1S Music Therapists each month? Robin Parker and Cayli Boyle are private Music Therapists that contract with F1S to serve our Exceptional Education students that learn in self-contained environments. They partner with teachers and related service providers to address the goals and skills our students are working on in a fun way through music!

Our students get excited to see them when they come and we are so thankful to have Ms Robin and Ms Cayli as part of our F1S Programs for Exceptional Children team!
