Final Call for Yearbook Orders!
SCE Mission 19 Patch Artwork Winner!
Congratulations to Cora K on being selected for the winning design!
This year, three Tollgate Middle School students had their experiment chosen to be a part of the NASA Student Spaceflight Experiment Program (SSEP) Mission 19! The students would like to see sanitizer effectiveness on E. Coli in space. All PLSD elementary students were asked to design a patch for the space flight to the ISS. The winning patch will be produced and travel to space on the uniform of the astronauts! Please help me in congratulating our SCE Mission 19 Patch Artwork Semi-Finalists!!
Beckett G., Cora K and Aisla G.’s patch design proceeded on to the District Contest and represented SCE!

We are super excited to announce that the volunteer form has become electronic across all schools in PLSD. This means that the paper forms that have been used in the past will no longer be used to sign up to be a volunteer. You can easily sign up to be a volunteer right now by using the QR code below or the link provided. If you have been a volunteer in the past, you must sign up again. Parents on Positivity Patrol Become a PoPP!
Parents on Positivity Patrol (PoPP) is a volunteer program that brings more caring adults into our schools to support students and staff. Parent volunteers play a vital role in education—not only as valuable resources for teachers but also as role models who show students that school is important and worth their time and effort.
Through PoPP, parents have the opportunity to actively engage in the schools their children attend, fostering a strong sense of community. By spreading encouragement and building positive relationships, PoPP volunteers help create a welcoming and supportive environment for all.
Join PoPP today and be a catalyst for change. Together, we’ll shape a brighter future—one uplifting interaction at a time.

Hi Families,
Does your child enjoy having books read aloud to him or her? If so, check out Storyline Online. There are many high interest books to choose from. After your child listens to the book, ask some of the following questions.
Can you tell me what the story was mostly about?
What was your favorite part?
Were you surprised at the ending? Why
Which character was your favorite and why?
