🏫 Principal's Message 🏫
Beginning October 1, Jefferson will introduce several new ways to recognize and celebrate students for strong and improved attendance! Regular, on-time attendance helps students stay connected to their learning, build positive routines, and feel like an important part of our school community. When students are healthy, we want them at school and ready to learn each day. Please view the linked presentation to learn more about our attendance celebrations and initiatives.
16th Street Construction
Families should also be aware of upcoming construction on 16th Street, which may affect traffic patterns and travel times near Jefferson. Please allow extra time during arrival and dismissal and use caution when traveling through the area. Additional information and project updates are available through the linked Berwyn City Hall webpage. https://16thstreetproject.com/
🏆September's Students of the Month🏆
🎉Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month🎉
Our hallways are coming alive as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! Students and staff have been helping fill our school with colorful posters, decorations, and displays that recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, history, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.
We love seeing our students learn about and celebrate the many cultures that make our school community so special. Take a look at some of the wonderful displays beginning to fill our halls!
📸 📖 Some Snapshots From the Library! 📖📸
Ms. Barba’s Dual Language Kindergarten class has been busy learning all about the library! Our young readers are practicing how to choose and read books, handle them with care, and be responsible library learners. We love seeing our kindergarteners build a love for reading while learning how to take great care of our books!
Ms. Sanchez’s class and Ms. Ramirez’s Dual Language class are diving into an exciting author study of Eric Carle in the library! Students are exploring his colorful and beloved stories while taking turns reading his books in both English and Spanish. What a wonderful way to celebrate reading, language, and a love of books!
