A Message from Mrs. Klein
Greetings, UCE Families and Friends,
This has been a great week of learning for our Bearcats! We had our Fire Prevention presentations by our Union Township Volunteer Fire Department. Students heard of different ways to stay safe and prevent fires and what to do in an emergency. They also had an opportunity to tour the fire truck and see all of the equipment. Thank you to our Union Township Fire Department for coming to teach us about fire safety and prevention!
We are seeing students continuing to bring items such as Pokemon cards to school. We want to make sure to maintain the integrity of the learning in our classrooms, and these are becoming a distraction for those who are bringing them. Please make sure your child's backpack does not contain them, as they have been causing issues between students. Thank you for your help!
The week of October 26-30, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will be taking ILEARN Checkpoint #1. Results will be available and uploaded to Harmony once they are finalized after November 6th. These students will be taking three Checkpoints to monitor their progress throughout the year before the final summative ILEARN at the end of April/beginning of May.
Just a reminder that next Tuesday students will have an asynchronous e-learning day, due to parent conferences. There will be no live lessons. Students will be sent home with work on Monday. If they bring home their chromebooks, please make sure they return them on Wednesday. This is especially important for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, who will need them charged fully before taking ILEARN Checkpoints the following week.
Wednesday is Unity Day- a day when we all work together to stop bullying. We will be wearing orange for Unity Day!
Next Thursday and Friday, there will be NO SCHOOL due to Fall Break. I hope you all take this time to rest, recharge, and enjoy some time with family and friends.

Above is our picture date, order code & one click link to online ordering for your retake picture day. THIS CODE IS DIFFERENT FROM THE ORIGINAL ORDER CODE.
Students who ordered a package on original picture day but are choosing to get their picture retaken MUST bring their original picture package with them on retake day to give to the photographer. You DO NOT need to place a new order. If you forget your package on retake day, they will take their photo & write their name down but they won’t order a new package until the old one is returned.
